So the quote, for people who don't recognize it, is one character saying to a teacher in the breakfast club that he started teaching "because you thought it'd be fun, right? Thought you could have summer vacations off. And then you found out it was actually work."
The linked post is one where I talk about the struggles of trying to provide kids with a good education and a genuine love of learning when the government is pushing perverse incentives onto schools, meaning that teachers have to fight with slt about implementing best practice in the classroom
I knew that that was the state of play going into teaching, btw. Both my parents are in education. Since making that post I've been teaching for five years. No, I always knew it would be work. So I'm struggling to make the connection.

biggest small change they made in the show was changing ‘jaime lannister sends his regards’ to ‘the lannisters send their regards’ which simultaneously changes nothing (because they don’t do lady stoneheart) and the entire meaning of the line. the lannisters were involved in the red wedding the line is just true now and it’s still cruel but the specific pointed cruelty of the original line was that catelyn died thinking that it was her fault, that she’d been tricked into an oath with the most notorious oathbreaker in the world in hope of saving her daughters and it killed her son. bolton knows she released jaime against robb’s wishes he knows the implication that jaime then arranged for her and robb’s deaths is the single most horrific idea he could give her in her dying moments

When the anti "LGBT propaganda" law passed in Russia, all of you were going insane and cared. Give Georgia the same energy. If you can have sympathy for our oppressors on the basis of them being queer, you should keep the same energy for us, if not more.
If this law passes, every Georgian queer person I know is so severely fucked, myself included. If you make jokes about "being illegal in several countries" you better fucking care about the countries you're apparently illegal in, or going to be illegal in.
