This morning, July 31st, 2017, the Official MJSA Twitter and Instagram dropped the above teaser, captioned “180817″. The internet erupted before MΔΞSTΔR could even retweet and repost the image, the general consensus of excitement that the group’s leader is once again active tangible across nearly all social media platforms.
Hours later, Legion Entertainment came forward with an official statement, giving more information about the release.
“MΔΞSTΔR and LIØN (also known as WÜNDERLÜST’S Lani) will collaborate for a Korean digital single entitled “All I Wanna Do”. MΔΞSTΔR will also release a solo version recorded entirely in English and released the same day. The Korean version will have a music video streamed the day of release, and the English version will have a Performance video in collaboration with 1MILLION Dance Studio, which will be posted to their YouTube Channel. MΔΞSTΔR has decided that beyond the day of release, there will be no promotions of this single until further notice.” [Translation provided by ForMΔΞSTΔR]
It is currently unknown whether LIØN will appear in the Performance video - but MΔΞSTΔR has confirmed that he and REIGN CHECK’s Jasper, who helped to choreograph, will be present.
It is also rumored that the English version is NSFW, but this has not yet been confirmed.

a thick silence ensues once her wrongdoing is revealed. the wave of guilt that had nearly drowned yorae once she’d witnessed the pure ‘distress’ the older woman displayed is now reduced to a puddle (albeit, she of course still feels a little bad that she’d forgotten to meet her friend for lunch in the unexpected change of schedule. park yorae is just that kind of woman, says the universe.) her face flattens, lips pressed to a line and lids drooping lazily over her eyes once she realizes this is a joke. she can’t stop her mouth from twitching into a slight smile, though - it is funny.
“unnie!” she shouts, though the only thing that makes her voice half as loud as it is is the laughter embracing her it. “i thought i did something worse than that! i’m sorry, ceo-nim wanted me to stay later to help some of the trainees with their dancing. i thought i texted you but i guess i didn’t -” she almost checks her phone just to make sure, but clearly if audrey had waited for her all lunch, it slipped her mind. “at least you got more m&m’s to yourself, right?”

The request was rather odd and out of nowhere, but he wasn’t someone to turn something like this down. And so he raised his hand to hold hers, smiling sweetly, wondering what was wrong. “Woah, your hand is so soft!”
she was rarely one for public skinship - for the one thing that scares her the most as far as her career is concerned is being caught up in a scandal. more often than not, she knows, they tend to evaporate with time ... until some event of a more scandalous value takes place and imprisons everyone’s attention. but even then, she wants to keep her reputation as clean as she can. she isn’t like her thicker-skinned peers who can handle, or perhaps even find amusement in, being talked about so religiously; in fact, her anxiety is so severe that just thinking about it makes her throat tighter.
thankfully, the gesture that could be distorted as having some sort of romantic intent is just between the two of them ... almost. yorae had somehow succeeded in dragging deok to a book signing with her - god knows she couldn’t go to this kind of event on her own, or she’d embarrass herself right into her grave. the author of one of her favorite books is right there, about ten people away from her. she can see her face. the vocalist’s lips press into a nervous line behind the surgical mask doing its damnedest to conceal her identity - after all, she had publicly recommended the book a few months ago, and beyond that, there was always a chance that a fan is in the vicinity. not that she detests being recognized, but she doesn’t want the attention to be shifted to her. she didn’t write the book, after all.
“deok, what do i do? what do i say? what if i say something stupid when it’s my turn?” she frets, grasping his hand gently. his compliment registers in her mind, then, and distractedly, she giggles, “thanks! i got this new lotion and i really like it, it smells like apple slices -” another person moves and the line progresses, thus her worry returns.
“오모 ... i’m going to need the biggest bowl of ramen ever, after this.”

“you’re right, but…”
there’s a sudden rush of sadness that comes over her, and much to her dismay the younger’s words are indeed true. the female standing in front of her is no longer the little kid that had entered the practice room of legion that one afternoon, no, she’s transformed into a beautiful, strong, and independent young woman. one that aera knows she can trust, but at times like this, the older still finds herself being a bit overprotective.
the exact opposite of her true nature.
she’s very much withdrawn, completely stuck inside of her own mind, and most of the time, insensitive. the only exceptions to this behavior are her members. as a trainee, with the finalization of their group growing near, aera made an effort to change. being the eldest of the group, she took on the responsibility of caretaker and protector. making sure the others knew that they always had a person to turn to, a shoulder to lean on, and an ear always ready to listen. that would never change, no matter how much time had passed.
“…you’ll always be my baby.” gentle eyes fall upon the other, as the older female she pouts, but soon a smile comes to replace it. her hand reaches out to pat the younger’s long locks and she sighs.
and she knows the other will be fine. after all, yoare is just going to hang out with some for awhile. but old habits die hard, so aera tries once again to convince the maknae.
“can’t you just text me when you get there? and also when you leave? you know this old woman worries. i just want to make sure you get there safely, okay?”
as with most idols, yorae can draw a finite and pronounced line between her true personality, and the secondary presence she’s crafted for the faction of herself that goes professionally by jasper. the young woman had done and seen a lot in her life, but never as much as she had in the years she’d trained for debut. despite being a firm believer in grasping and embracing the beautiful aspects of the earth around her, no amount of goodness could be enough to eradicate the truth surrounding the general consensus that the world is a cruel place, swarming with evil and opportunity for said evil to grow and multiply.
of course that description is far from encompassing all of the world she knows, but it modifies just enough of it for yorae to have been caught off guard by the netizen sub-universe that has established infamy for forcing idols to their humble knees. she had been no exception to that - despite never having stood on too much a pedestal to begin with. this looming threat, added to the mentality she endured which threatened her physicality constantly, times were a lot less than easy for her. she was away from home, struggling to repair her relationship with her mother, practically killing herself from how little she was eating and anxious from the unforgiving promise of stardom. someone had to be there for her.
and aera had always been that someone.
truthfully, all of reign check had done more for her than she could ever repay. the three near-strangers that had become her sisters over a vigorous training period and the years since its end, they’d brought her further out of her shell and into the world than ever had she expected --- they’d brought her more progress than she had ever seen, and ever would see, on her own. but aera, even while she is only five years yorae’s senior, had been a practical mother to her. half a decade can make quite a difference when one is almost thirteen and the other seventeen.
she’d always been there. always. though the maknae’s blood family couldn’t necessarily help the distance that had grown between them; the fact that yorae had to endure it was unchanging. the constant fighting between she and her mother, the near disappearance of her sister due to having to work constantly to support her child, and the death of her father - it often left her feeling as though she had no one to turn to. and though the eldest of the group had appeared cold and intimidating at first, she’d taken that role before yorae could see it coming. and the younger woman had never felt more thankful for something she hadn’t asked for.
this reflection about her, the corners of the younger’s lips turn slightly downward into a sorrowful frown. she can see how her words had affected her senior, in spite of their truth - or perhaps, especially because of their truth. her bag pressed to her side, her hand on the doorknob, she freezes. then, with a weighted sigh, she lets the duffel bag fall to the floor, beside the mess of shoes garnered over days of any one of the four women flinging them off with exhaustion at the threshold to the dorm. she nearly runs across the room to where the eldest stands, and presses her into a tight hug - her head resting on the matriarch’s shoulder, despite yorae having long since become the taller of the two.
“you know, unnie ... i didn’t really want to go to that party, anyway. i’d rather spend the night with someone that loves me.”

Most idols are mortified or embarrassed when photos of their pre-stardom days hit the internet - but we doubt this was the case for the maknae of REIGN CHECK. Last night, an anonymous user posted the above photos with the caption “Park Yo Rae” - Jasper’s real name, and the date April 5th, 2012. Netizens located and analyzed the photos almost immediately, and it turns out the idol was only 15 years old (16, Korean age) when these photos were taken, a year before REIGN CHECK’s debut in 2013.
Jasper has since come forward and responded to the leak, claiming these pictures were indeed taken by her older sister in 2012 and posted to her Facebook the same year. She does not know the identity of the user who leaked them.
However they surfaced, it’s clear to see that Jasper has always been beautiful.

the younger woman’s lips push forward thoughtfully, her eyes flickering between the two options of scented face scrubs. as an idol - a korean idol, at that - skincare has climbed several tiers upon her list of priorities. the woman behind the counter watches with what appears to be concern that yorae is taking this far too seriously - after all, the two products are exactly the same, designated scents aside. large sunglasses are raised from the bridge of her nose and pushed back into her hair, her slim form raising up as the arch in her back straightens, and she’s standing laterally, hand still placed pensively upon her chin.
“alright, unnie. you have great skin, so i’ll trust you,” she smiles warmly at the cashier, gathering three bottles of the selected product and placing them on the counter.
“where do you want to go next? i heard there are those new two-toned lip stains here, and i haven’t tried them yet.”

Not everyone knew about his family situation and Gwangmin was well aware of that since he only told people he was close to. The girl probably meant well but Gwangmin wasn’t able to hide his annoyed expression as he settled back in his seat, tapping his food. “Thank you.” His reply was short and more than tense, not even taking the time to spare the other a glance. His jaws were locked as he looked in the opposite of her direction, his eyes scanning the crowd before he got up once more to move.
if yorae has but one talent; aside from her prowess as both a dancer and vocalist, that is - it is reading others. of course she is only human, and she cannot always be right, nor can she detect absolutely everything at all times ... however, perhaps even a sightless person would be able to sense the sudden tension in the elder dancer’s aura. the vocalist blinks, knowing almost instantly that she’s said something wrong - knowing that is why she suddenly feels as though she’s stepped into a hidden pothole. doelike eyes focus on gwangmin, perhaps a little too intensely, as she thinks of a million ways to apologize. “oppa -” she starts, lips pressing into a line to stop herself from saying something else wrong, out of paranoia. she sees him start to move and a flash of guilt rips through her, her expression riddled with this same feeling as her hand extends just slightly in attempt to reach out to him, but it never lands. “are you okay? i - i’m sorry ...”
it’s then that the young idol realizes exactly what she’s done. that look he gave her before his eyes averted entirely - she knows it so intimately. it had been nearly the same expression she would display upon being asked about her father. that anchor of culpability weighs her chest even further down upon realizing this, and she inhales tightly - in her haste to try to revive the lightness of mood, she bows her head and shoves the woven basket that had once been full of breadsticks, but now contains only one, closer to his end of the table.
