“Never apologize for how you feel. No one can control how they feel. The sun doesn’t apologize for being the sun. The rain doesn’t say sorry for falling. Feelings just are.”

That empty, overwhelming, sinking, realizing feeling when you thought you were doing so good and recovering from your fear of abandonment but your thoughts relapse when your favorite person acts distant for just one day, you’re whole day is crumbling, trying to rationalize why they are distant because asking if they are okay is so crazy in your head. To ask for reassurance because you’ll know the answer. They’d say “no” but it feels like they are distant still. The one word responses, the time frame in which they text back. How does someone get over this feeling? Will it ever go away? It feels like it won’t and it comes back 100 times harder when you’re recovering. Why is texting such an issue?! It doesn’t feel like this when I am with them. As soon as I am no longer with them. It comes back, those thoughts, those haunting, self deceiving thoughts.
