In the interview, the head makeup artist says they used the Essence 01 shade that they called “Blacklove” but when I looked into it the only 01 shade I could find was “Black Fever.” Not sure if this was a mistake or if the color has been renamed. Rock & Roll vs Rock & Khol is also a mistake in the article.

CLOSE MATCH: This “Skin In The Game: Yellowjackets Replica Notebook Journal” from Amazon is a close match to the book featured in the show.

The shoes are worn by this “Acolyte” in the pilot. Stunt doubles were used so I am not sure who it is (though there are a lot of theories out there). Some of the noticeable clothing pieces from this Acolyte are shuffled around throughout the group to further disguise who it is. The “Coed Naked Soccer” shirt was first seen on Van but Travis has also worn it. The balaclava is made from one of Misty’s sweaters that I if I remember right Mari wore once etc. (I plan to make a more put together post about this later).

The pink shoes from the pilot and promotional images are Chuck Taylor All Star Converse in the color either “Chaos Fuchsia” (above) or “Pink” (below). I can’t exactly make my mind up on which color it is. On the one hand the shoes look like a darker pink but it could very well be the lighting so I’ll let y’all decide.

That’s the last of my Doomcoming posts for now as I still haven’t found the right items from everyone’s looks yet (notably, Lottie’s, Coach Ben’s, Van’s, Mari’s etc.) but I’m working on it. If you guys have any leads it would be much appreciated!

Yellowjackets Fashion Fact: In the script for Doomcoming, the characters create accessories and decorations for the dance. Because of this, the costume department really wanted to lean into the handmade aspect of everyone’s accessories and used the resources limited to the characters to help inspire their creations.

In a Podcast interview with Makeover Montage, Costume designer Marie Schley says “I mean one thing that was fun was like creating the flower garlands and being like ok this character would make this one, this would -this is for- you know, you would match it with their personalities. Also what’s kind of fun is being able to create stuff that’s imperfect so that it looks like someone made it. One of the girls is wearing a pelt over her shoulder and we were just in the office messing around and we put a belt through it and we’re like oh that will hold it. You know and it was fun because… when you’re designing it, you’re designing it with limitations not as if you have a workroom with three ager-dyers and a tailor.”

I’m not entirely sure if it’s Mari or Gen who is being referred to as there’s other parts of the podcast where the interviewer kind of gives a description of Mari’s look but Gen’s look seems to fit Schley’s description better.

Taissa wears a Vera Wang White Label dress in the color Plum. There are different versions of this dress length wise and not all the belts have rhinestone detailing. Taissa’s removable belt doesn’t have rhinestones but the only one I could find for sale in the right length does (that’s why it’s in the product picture). The Vera Wang “White” collection was sold at David’s Bridal.
