not Kim Kibum releasing a video that not-so-subtly calls out the horrific grind of the 9-5 work environment where everyone has to lie to themselves about how much they want to be there and how great having any money is, despite the fact that most people are given the absolute minimum for the huge amount of work they do, while also pointing out that those of us who work the hardest to stand out in their careers are often the most delusional about the benefits of that hard work, and in the end it makes no difference because you have to appear grateful and happy about your situation whether you actually are or not because the alternative is to admit everything is shit; while also having actual imagery of people murdering their boses and tearing them, or each other apart, because so much of a capitalist world is dog eat dog, every person for themselves, step on everyone else to get to the top; all of this while hinting that there is something better out there and there is the possibility of a world filled with colour and fun and freedom, and that we're all actually deserving of that
when kpop acts (shinee KEY and svt BSS) make boppy office music that turns everyday work into something fun & campy, romanticising the people's contribution to capitalism because there is nothing we can do but conform to the system so we might as well listen to good music while we do >>
