“lee heeseung!” you whisper-yelled, hitting his hand lightly. “stop staring at me and finish your worksheet. i’ve literally been tutoring you for 3 weeks now, the pythagorean theorem can’t be that hard to you anymore.”

“jeong y/n,” heeseung started, grinning at you like an idiot, a carefree expression on his face. “you’re really pretty, y’know? i’d rather stare at you all day than do this stupid worksheet.”

“thank you for the compliment,” you said, quickly brushing it off as him teasing you. “but this worksheet is what’ll get you out of summer school this year. and staring at me all day would be quite creepy, don’t you think?”

“i’m being serious, y/n. you’re the prettiest girl i’ve ever seen. why do you think i chose you to be my tutor for this year?” he told you, looking into your eyes. “you’re honestly amazing, being able to handle being the captain of the swim team, the vice president of the student council, and a tutor is some seriously impressive work. and to me, you’re not just pretty, you’re ethereal.”

your face was flushed red, and you hid behind the sleeves of your hoodie. heeseung reached over and held your hands in his, looking at you with a smile. “you’re so cute.” he said.

“s-shut up, just finish your work..” you muttered, glaring at him. to be honest, you have liked heeseung for a while, so you decided to use these tutoring sessions as an opportunity to get closer to him, and it seemed like it worked.

“fine, but only if you give me a kiss after i’m done.” heeseung offered, and you nodded, making him smile yet again. “oh, and i want a kiss right now!”

“only since you’re such a good student.” you chuckled, leaning towards him and giving him a quick peck on the cheek, your lipgloss leaving a mark on his skin.

“thank you, y/nnie~” he giggled. “i’m never washing my face ever again!”

“ew, no! that’s gross!”

"the sunset's beautiful, isn't it?" chenle asked, looking at you with a smile. “not as beautiful as you though.”

"y-yea, it really is." you stuttered at the sudden question, earning a chuckle from the boy.

he snaked his right arm around your waist and pulled you closer. "i've been meaning to tell you this for a while."

"huh? what is it?" you said, looking back at him, your head slightly tilted to the side.

your heart beated in anticipation as you waited for the words to come out of his mouth. “you’re an impatient girl, aren’t you.. well, i guess i can tell you.” you nodded.

“i like you. i have a crush on you. you’re literally the prettiest girl i’ve ever laid my eyes upon. your looks, your personality, your style.. everything about you is just perfect.” chenle finally revealed.

your cheeks were heating up and you stammered over your words, trying to find something to say. “i-i like you too.”

“y/n, will you be my girlfriend?” you nodded, laying your head on his shoulder and slowly drifting off to sleep while watching the sun set.

“i love you.” he whispered, giving you a soft kiss on the forehead.
