Just some sumos in training scaring each other at camp.

I think every guy I’ve ever dated or been interested in has felt the need to patronise me and belittle my education and general knowledge but I don’t understand why. These are intelligent people who obviously would not be dating or interested in someone who is uneducated so why make the assumption of that even though they know it’s incorrect? The general wording of ‘oh I’m gunna teach you how to dress good’ or 'oh I’m gunna school you on music’ I’m sorry but I dress myself and I know I look good, they know I look good because they tell me that - why try to change it? And if I wanted to be 'schooled’ in the music you’re into then that would be the music that I am into - the reason I am not already 'schooled’ in it is because I have a different genre I listen to more and am more interested in. Why waste time with someone you’re constantly trying to improve? Why aren’t they spending time with people who they think are perfect as they are? Do I look like a project? Please if I do someone tell me, because as far as I can see I’m totally fine as I am.
