Micah just be writing shit bruh. That’s what this entire episode told me. Micah writes with absolutely zero logic. How the hell do you want me to believe that Spencer missing that block is the sole blame for them potentially getting knocked out before the playoffs, when I watched him score 2 touchdowns directly before?? How am I to believe that Spencer is the problem when the plays Mac drew up didn’t include passing to him and those plays are what lost them that game and apparently the games before that to even be out of playoff contention?? Spencer ran 2 touchdowns when y’all were LOSING and you decided to run plays that didn’t include him getting the ball and y’all lost and I’m supposed to look at that and call Spencer *checks notes* SELFISH??? Is Micah ok??? They just spent the first 4 episodes pushing the new and improved Spencer and Olivia with great communication and in one episode he tried to undo all of that. And y’all want me to believe that writer’s room doesn’t have a load of shit sliding down the walls. Wrap this show up

I’ll talk about the logistics of that episode in a different post but what I’ll say for now is, Daniel and Samantha still know how to serve slight angst and that’s what I took away from tonight. I still feel every ounce of tension, awkwardness, regret, etc that they give. The scene in the bedroom??? I feltttt it. Idk if this is intentional but the writers somehow always end up paralleling Jordan and Layla to Billy and Laura and… idk if that’s a good thing or not. Last season at Billy’s roast, they had them discreetly hold hands while Laura was giving her speech to Billy. And then last episode Jordan told Olivia that Billy always took Jordan to that specific park whenever he and Laura had a fight. I thought they were gonna reveal that that was a park Grace took Spencer to when he was a child. You know, as a kinda way to show Billy watching Spencer the same way he used to watch his games when he was younger. But instead they used it as a catalyst for Jordan to work out his problems with Layla. Like how Billy did with Laura. And I’m just trying to figure out if they’re trying to say something with that or what

Can I explain why I love Spencer James so much? It won’t take long. HE’S NICE. How he talks to people? Is just so comforting and it’s why people feel warmth from him. For a main character, this man is consistently and genuinely so kind. He leads with kindness and compassion and understanding first and then you gotta push him. It’s not like you have to have him COME AROUND to support you. He supports first. He leans towards love first. That’s a good man

Once again struggling to understand Jordan’s logic. Because to me, he sounds like a hypocrite. He’s saying that Spencer should be ok with being cut out of the plays because the team is winning regardless and he’s only mad because attention isn’t on him… but the reason he’s ok with cutting Spencer out is because the attention has now shifted to himself. He’s in heisman conversations, media conversations, and he now has a “guy” which to Jordan is the most important thing. But if it’s really “just about the team winning” for Jordan, passing to Spencer shouldn’t be an issue. Like Spencer said the team was winning with him. Jordan’s still involved in the plays whether he throws to Spencer or not. His future isn’t affected but he still felt jealous before he was getting all this attention even though the team was winning. Spencer’s future, on the other hand, is being affected because his stats are lower. But he’s supposed to be ok with it because… the team is winning??

So I’m guessing the speculation right now is whether this is the last season or not right? So I just wanna share my thoughts.

This show needs to end. This needs to be the last. Idk if I’m saying that based on how much I’ve detached the last year but the show has ran its course. They talking about budget cuts and introducing a new cast and blah blah blah. Whole time the problem we’ve had since season 4 is the fact that this show is oversaturated. There are TOO MANY FUCKING PEOPLE. No one wants a new cast.

Ideally, I would like the final episode to be the draft. We see Spencer get drafted somewhere other than LA, and then that opens room to give him and Olivia a spin off. There’s soooo much more story to tell with those 2. With Spencer being in the NFL and with the different hats Olivia wears, journalism, dance, art, community work, author, all while being a NFL girlfriend/wife, there’s so much to explore. And they deserve it on a network that can actually do it justice and I promise you, that is not on the CW’s half dead ass. I know I definitely deserve to see their story continue to unfold but I don’t wanna have to do that amongst a million other characters that I barely tolerate with nothing going for them. With their own show, we get to see just them being them, individually and as a team. They are the focus. So my choice would be to wrap the show with Spencer being a first round pick and let him and Liv LEAVE. If Daniel and Samantha are ok continuing with these characters, give them their spin off. If they wanna move on, just leave it there at the draft. The cw NOR NK can pull off a proper nfl story for him

His agent was like, yeah what’s happening right now is setting you back. You are being your own worst enemy right now not fighting for yourself. And we watched him understand and fight for his future. HE GOT MAD OVER HIS FUTURE! INSTEAD OF RUNNING FROM IT! HE FOUGHT FOR IT! I’m so proud of him right now
