A mature person has the integrity to be alone. And when a mature person gives love, she gives without any strings attached to it: she simply gives. And when a mature person gives love, she feels grateful that you have accepted her love, not vice versa. She does not expect you to be thankful for it - no, not at all, she does not even need your thanks. She thanks you for accepting her love.

Acceptance doesn't mean we agree with what happened or that we like it and shouldn't try to change it. It only means we gracefully come to terms with what we can't realistically change so we can focus on what we can.

stargazing, gentle wind at dawn, the smell of books, mini-drawings, paintings, long conversations late at night, quiet midnight spent listening to music, dancing, seasons, getting so absorbed in a book you forgot the world exists, the comfort in walking home after a long school day, getting up early to watch the sunrise, trying to fall asleep on the sound of rain on a rooftop, keeping a journal, photographs, writing poems, and appreciating the little things in life.

It might be a privilege to fall in love with quotes, poetry, art at a very young age. Interesting how someone else can unknowingly express thoughts when one is at loss for words; on the simple thought that our minds must have soulmates too.

We sit silently and watch the world around us. This has taken a lifetime to learn. Silence is pure. Silence is holy. It draws people together because only those who are comfortable with each other can sit without speaking. This is the great paradox.
