You had just gotten ready, and headed to your kitchen when you noticed a little guest on your table.

It was Peanut with a letter next to it, chirping a hello to you.

"Hello, Peanut. What do you have here?"

You greeted the bird, who nuzzled its head against your hand before you took the letter.

It was from Luke. He must have sent Peanut to deliver it for you since he got caught up in something.

Offering Peanut a fig, you carefully opened the letter to see what your boyfriend had written for you.

It finally opened today! So I am going to take you there!

You put the letter down, and smiled to yourself before moving to your room to get ready.

You were quite happy that he remembered that you wanted to go to the new restaurant, especially since it had been a while ago since you mentioned it.

And so all that was left to do was wait for Luke.

You waited, and waited, and waited.

But he didn't come until just before sunset.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry for being late!"

Luke exclaimed, hand on his knees while hunched over and panting.

"I thought you weren't coming."

You mumbled as Peanut let out a series of rapid chirps, almost as if scolding Luke on your behalf.

"I'm sorry, I was trying to plan a perfect date for us, and in doing so I lost track of time."

Luke sighed before handing you a small ring box, a little bow decorating the box.

"You didn't."

"I did."

Luke smiled as you opened the box to see a (gold/silver) ring with your favourite gemstone.

You decide, and also Luke never made Rosa a ring.

As you put it on, Luke couldn't help but look at you as if you were the only person who existed in the world.

He offered you his arm.

"Shall we go?"

"Yeah. Let's go."

You smiled, taking his arm as he led you out the door.

Luke took you to the new restaurant and you two tried a few things, including your favourites.

And when you were ready to go, he took you to his place.

That's when you saw the reason he was late.

He decorated and set up the entire place for you two to have a date night.

Fairy lights, a pillow fort and a gaming setup for you two to game.

"We can watch a movie instead of gaming too, if you'd like."

Luke offered, and depending on your decision, he would either alter things, or keep it the same.

Safe to say, your Valentine's Day ended up being one of the best date nights you two had in a while.

Honestly tho, seeing how he hasn't seen you in like 8 years, I'd think that he'll be clingy by that point like,,, imagine a koala clinging into u😭😭😭

He'll call you over or he'll be the one to come to ur apartment just to cuddle and stuff. You don't even need to talk, he just needs to have you in his arms in a reassuring manner. When you cuddle too while sleeping, your soft breathing and the slow rise and fall of your chest just calms him down so much.

Especially during nights where he gets nightmares about how one day, with you being in the NXX and having to deal with dangerous deeds, he's afraid that he'll lose you. It's during those nights where he holds you tighter against him in a desperate effort to convince himself that you're safe and sound.

If he wakes up and you're not in bed or smthn like that, he's mildly panicking. He shoots up from the bed and is immediately running around yo apartment looking for you only to find you cooking breakfast in the kitchen. The moment he sees you humming whilst cooking with a cute lil apron on, a relaxed smile shows on his face and he slowly walks towards you to hug you from behind<3333

Sometimes with that in mind, he looks out for you a lot during missions. Don't get him wrong; he trusts you but he can't help but have these lingering fear of losing you. The moment that he hears you yelp in pain, he immediately runs over towards you asking what's wrong. Imagine you like trip on a tree root or smthn or stubbed your toe somewhere or had a little cut somewhere.

Poor boy goes mom mode and immediately scolds you gently while tending to you<33 (would def give a soft kisses to wherever u were hurt #lukebestboy)
