God, I can't tell you how much the "there's not enough enrichment in my enclosure" joke has helped my mental health. Because, for some reason I can't comprehend, pretending that I'm a zoo keeper caring for an animal (which is also me) just makes everything easier to comprehend. Like "Your head gets screwey when you're apartment is messy" just doesn't carry as much resonance as "The tiger becomes agitated when its enclosure is cluttered" because then I'll be like, no shit? The tiger? I've gotta keep things nice and clean for the tiger.

i think it's so important that stede didn't name a list of ed's qualities when he was telling him he loved him. like, he didn't say "i love how clever you are, how strong, how brave, how talented, how kind, how handsome" etc etc, because those are all qualities ed could doubt and dismiss, or qualities that could change, qualities he could lose.
stede just said, "i love being near you."
it doesn't matter who or what ed is, doesn't matter if he loses every virtue he might have ever had; ed doesn't have to be better or whole, he doesn't have to try and be what stede loves or worry the love will change if he changes, because stede just loves the air he breathes.
"i love being with you" has gotta be one of the best things someone who hates himself could ever hear.

J.K. Simmons playing J. Jonah Jameson in every timeline has to be one of the funniest running gags ive seen in a movie. anyone can be Spiderman but there can only be one J. Jonah Jameson
