Is this a separate stanza for Harry full of satellite/space references?
Tried wishing on comets
Tried dimming the shine
Tried to orbit his planet

She told us right up front she didn't love Matty: "It wasn't a love affair!" Girl yelled and pounded her fists on her desk while saying it.
That being said, perhaps the most interesting thing to me about the summation poem is that it's very much a case of "unreliable narrator." Now, I do believe she didn't love Matty, I'm just saying that's not the whole story. This "summation" has some big holes. First, she worked on the record for two years, but then only summarizes the last 10 months, kinda (she doesn't even allude to Travis). Every time I read this, I get the sense some lines have been moved around or struck out altogether.
The smirk...I think this poem is a little twisteroo or smoke and mirrors to make Matty, who I agree deserves the title of one of the "worst men," out to be the main muse, helping Taylor to save face while allowing her to express everything she desperately needs to.

TTPD Notes - The Healy of It All
TTPD Notes Glossary
As much I don’t like even thinking about Mr. Healy, here are my thoughts on him, in regards to how he fits in as a muse to this album and, potentially, others:
As I’ve pointed out previously, in “I Hate It Here,” she refers to him as an “eternal consolation prize.” If the shoe fits. She supposedly dated him for a blink after her and Harry split in 2014. But there's never been any actual evidence of this. All we really know is she went to two of his shows that year. And one time, Harry was there. Healy himself even called it "a flirtation." So...
In the same song ("I Hate It Here") she says [Matty] has “the body of a finance guy,” which she refers to as “something awful” (sorry to finance guys everywhere. I’m sure some of them are very built).
In “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,” she intimates he’s bad in bed and has a small thang, (“Once your Queen had come/You’d treat her like an also-ran [a horse who runs in a race but doesn’t finish]/You didn’t measure up in any measure of a man). This tells me they never actually hooked up back in the day, probably just hung out; maybe did some kissing, at most.
You don't write "I'll forget you" (TSMWEL) and "I'll see it all until I die" (LOML) about the same person.
In fact, I think he did something really, really bad. I mean, "You deserve prison but you won't get time." Damn. That's like, really harsh, even for Tay. He can't merely have ghosted her. What did he dooooo?!
At the end of my depressing deep dive, I think just three of these 31 songs are about Matty: “I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can),” “The Alchemy,” and “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.” And he’s referenced in “I Hate It Here," “Fortnite,” (the miracle move on drug), and maybe “loml." (I think perhaps he’s the conman selling the get love quick scheme).
All that to say, I don’t think he was this great love who got away; I think she barely knew him. And he certainly wasn’t someone she was pining over for years and swirling into all of her poems/previous albums.

I feel like this is her one last call to Harry. It’s a red herring disguised as something it’s not. She’s being a poet and saying things he knows. It’s her last letter. I think if he doesn’t do something she’s gone for good.
I think she’s saying with the Harry songs on this album she tired of him just sitting back not doing anything. she like you just sit there & watch me date these people & you still write songs about me but won’t try. START TRYING!!

or taylor playing with words because she be rhyming the end of the the sentences with -ery or -ary which definitely sounds like harry (for me anyways)
if the love of my life, holy ghost (two ghosts), Mr-Steal-Your-Girl, legendharry, and under the table (from the dining table) isn’t enough conviction than it is then i don’t know anymore. 🧏🏻♀️

Lks post about firing line makes me think attacks or something negative. The post would make sense with there being multiple muses in the songs with the word untangle. Am I reading it wrong?

I think he is saying he doesn't want to argue and rehash the past. TTPD's story is someone who never came through and overlooks Wendy's 6 year relationship. I think it could be seen as saying let bygones be bygones. He also said Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus was his favourite track which ends on

This is giving heavy "Style" vibes specifically if the "never quite buried" because they come back every time.
Two Ghosts Vibes:

The fact she uses stitching seem honestly random to the point I feel like she definitely added it to indicate his stiches/aka "Out Of The Woods".
Obvious, "love of my life" reference:

This whole thing feels like more of a jab at young Harry, he was known as a playboy and he kept playing with her heart. At some point he told her she'd "changed him" because he just wanted her. The talks of paintings, ink bleeding and the "never before, and ever since" all screams at me a mixture of "the rest of the World was black and white but we were in screaming color" and then "Did I paint your bluest skies the darkest gray?" from the male's POV in Coney Island as well as "you've taught me a secret language and you showed me colors you know I can't see with anyone else". Also how Harry's entire feed was B&W for a long time on Instagram before 1989 release.

I mean 1D has a song called "Steal My Girl" as well as the fact I do believe he "stole" her from Calvin and probably Joe at some points.

I feel like for the most part of ttpd she was doing the same thing as Midnights, which is going back to her past experiences....here she did that to make sense of the present. Peter is about her waiting and finally deciding it's not worth it anymore (2019). Chloe Sam is about lack of commitment from the other person's side because I feel like she uses drug as a metaphor for something else, maybe freedom of some kind because drug really makes you stress-free and make you feel free of worries (it can be 2014 or 2016 or even 2023). loml and ttpd to me is very clearly Harry and Joe both. Because in the last decade these two were the most significant and important relationships of hers. MH really doesn't make sense
I think the drugs could be a metaphor for fame, or maybe it's literal IDK. It reminds me of the Make My Day leak where he sings about fans making him feel wanted but the he is lonely when he is off the stage. MMD was leaked 7 December 2023, in the middle of TTPD being written. But IDK, the next like of 'I couldn't watch it happen' does sound literal because it sounds like disapproval which doesn't fit fame or her.
The way this line is preceded by 'you turned me into an idea of sorts' reminds me of 'gave up on me like I was a bad drug', which he likened her to in MMIH. I have a whole Haylor drug theme here.
I personally think this album is all current feelings, but that rerecording her old work has her thinking about her past with grown perspective.
