In the server somecreature asked how everyone felt on a scale of domestic to feral, which prompted me to make this!:
Tumblr media
For me (wolfdog), im about here:
Tumblr media
It was kind of hard to decide where to put the dot at because part of me is actually completely wild (wolf) and part of me is domestic (dog) but I feel like I lived in the woods, away from people which would be feral.
Anyway, lets see where you guys fall!
Please tag it under #tamenesstriangle so theyre easy for others to find :) (i really hope tameness triangle isnt some weird term for something)

The most terrifying part of having memory issues is when you can feel something from 5 seconds ago be thrown out the window and there's an empty hole where it once was. You remember that you forgot something.

i wanna say fuck you to anyone who shame disabled, chronically ill & neurodivergent people, especially homebound folks, for "spending too much time on their phone/on the internet/etc." when it's the only (Somewhat) accessible way for them to experience the world. many people don't get to get out much even if they want to because of their disabilities. shaming someone for trying to connect with the world, make friends and engage with hobbies in ways that are accessible to them is beyond cruel and unnecessary

People underestimate how much it fucks you up to be subtly excluded as a kid. I would try to talk to my classmates and be met with disinterest or annoyance. The one friend I had, who I clung to and nodded along to his every word, had other friends he liked just as much or more. And his other friends didn’t care for me at all.
I look back at pictures from the time and see how separated I was from them. I remember knowing I was different. I remember posing questions about the world to the girls playing next to me and realizing that they had never asked the same ones to themselves. That the ways we thought couldn’t be more different.
I kept myself amused with my own fanatical stories and musings in my head. I would wander the playground on a circular path, imagining a friend and being sorely disappointed when it didn’t feel as real as I’d hoped.
There was a bubble separating me from everyone else, thin, and nearly invisible, but with a pearly sheen you could catch under the right conditions. I knew it was there, they knew it was there, and it changed me

tip for disabled nonhumans or nonhumans who do not live near accessible natural areas: i highly recommend gardening if you are able to! even something incredibly small like a succulent, or just one potted plant, or maybe several pots, or planters, it's up to you and your level of ability. sometimes we need to be around nature and we can't physically leave to reach it. it really genuinely does help to bring it to yourself
it helps to nurture and care for natural life and to spend time with it. spending time among trees, flowers, plants and dirt is good for the soul and good for mental health, it's a nice way to give yourself some of that 'being one with nature' feeling you're looking for. plus, if you are able to keep a garden outside, you will experience all kinds of cool critters coming to check out your plants. you will be able to exercise your nonhuman curiosity by taking a peek at some of the bugs that have come by
i know this won't work for everyone, but it has helped me a lot, it makes me feel like i have somewhat of a connection with the woods again, so it brings me some peace. hope this can help someone else, too

✶ DRACONIC GLORY ✶
[ * ARHRRGRGHJRGHRGH this is finally DOOOONEEEEE ]
[ * I've never done such rendering with this method before (painted it and picked the colors by hand in a layer above the sketch/lineart and base color layer) and it turned out SO SO WELL ]
[ * I also wanted to give it a touch of computer-screen-ish-look because that just adds so nicely ]
[ * Took 8 hours in total, drawn on Krita along with a Wacom Intuos S tablet ]
[ * Feels nice to draw my dragon kintype :} i haven't really done a fully-rendered drawing of myself in a while ]
[ * Also a small attempt at poetry... alterhuman poetry.... i don't really write poetry so apologies if it's wonky :P but i'm personally happy about it! ]

They should make a debarking surgery but for humans who can’t go one ride in public transportation without talking really loud on the phone the whole ride.
I’d rather be seen having a seizure in public than be caught talking loud on the phone on the bus,
especially if you can reach particularly high decibels

I hate the “open floor plan” that everyone is obsessed with in houses now. I want nooks and crannies and bizarre floor plans. I don’t need to be able to see what someone is doing on the other side of the house. I want places to hide and lurk and dwell in the shadows. I am the beast who awaits in the labyrinth
