Ask not the sun why she sets. An independent & selective portrayal of Vesemir from the Witcher. Primarily focused on the younger version from The Nightmare of the Wolf, though will also write older Vesemir from the novels and games. Extremely crossover friendly, with verses in Dragon Age, Final Fantasy and Modern Settings. This blog will contain mature themes, please be an adult before you follow.
RULES
I use the new beta editor which means if you use the legacy editor I'll probably have to pass on writing with you. Cutting posts is mandatory for me as I like a clean dash. Other than that I don't care how little or how much you format, I tend to just use small text and that's it as I find formatting to be tedious, but feel free to do whatever you like.
Do not be a shit person, If I get any whiff of any bigotry or asshole behavior I will block. I'm very liberal with the block feature and I'm far too old to deal with anyone's bullshit on this website.
I am nearly thirty years old so I'm not comfortable with writing with minors, and no minors should even look upon my blog. The Witcher is a very mature series and Vesemir is a mature character, I will not shy away from adult storytelling and I will block you if you're a minor.
Going along with what I said above, I will also block if you partake in witch hunts for writers who write things you don't agree with. I get that you may not like certain themes, but telling another person they can't write something is stupid. Just block them and move on, create your own safe space. I for one can separate fiction from reality and I fully support everyone who wants to write what they want. Of course there are limits, I will block and warn other people about blogs who are actually dangerous to others or if they force their writing upon another. Just don't be awful human beings and we'll be great!
Shipping is fun, I love writing ships whether it be platonic or romantic. Romance is one of my personal favorite topics to write and I hope to pair Vesemir with a variety of muses. He's openly pansexual so feel free to ask about shipping with him.
When it comes to mature themes, sexual themes are also included in this bracket. Smut may appear on this blog, I have no qualms with writing sexual content and will tag the content appropriately.
My discord will be available for general chit chat and plotting though I'm weary about writing on the app due to burnout. I'd prefer spending my energy on my actual blog.
I will write in the Witcher TV series, but please be warned that I'm not very fond of it. I like the casting, but the choices made in the series has upset me.
VERSES
The main verse I write in is younger Vesemir during his Witcher years, though I'll branch out for when he's the single dad to a bunch of young Witchers. I'll also write old, wise Vesemir for those that prefer him.
Dragon Age: Vesemir was an orphan when he was found, and from there he was given to a nearby farm to be raised as a farmhand. Over the years Vesemir secretly trained in swordplay and by the time he was a fifteen he decided to leave the farm and take his chances as a mercenary, joining different groups as he aged. Eventually this will lead him to flying solo where he's readily available to join the Warden, Hawke or the Inquisitor's party based on the timeframe.
Final Fantasy XVI: A bearer from Rosaria who eventually joins Cid's hideaway. Vesemir splits up his time between protecting people who Cid/Clive/Gav/Jill order him to protect and helping out in the Tavern.
Modern: A former soldier, Vesemir ( who goes by Ves in this verse ) is discharged from the military. Moving to rainy Seattle he opens up a bar while also volunteering as a firefighter. Slice of life lovers come and hang out with him.

‘Relax,’ Regis said, cleansing the wound. ‘It’s nothing. Only blood. Only a little blood… Your blood smells nice, poet.’
At precisely that moment the Witcher did something Milva would never have expected. He walked over to the horse and drew a long Nilfgaardian sword from the scabbard fastened under the saddle flap.
‘Move away from him,’ he snarled, standing over the barber-surgeon.
‘The blood smells nice,’ Regis repeated, not paying the slightest bit of attention to the Witcher. ‘I can’t detect in it the smell of infection, which with a head wound could have disastrous consequences. The main arteries and veins are intact… This will sting a little.’

Admin Update! (06/26/23)
Hello there everyone! It's been awhile. I'm currently working on catching up to things on this blog and adding new roleplayers to the list.
However, before I do, I'm letting you all know that I've finally found an alternative (and better place) to put the Masterlist on. I'll be transferring it all over to a Google Sites for easier access and better organization. I'll post a link to the new and improved Masterlist soon once I finish it up!
