Bjorn Ironside Ragnarsson in the show is still alive i the TV show moving into Season 5B.
But in history Bjorn Ironside lived a full life and died of old age.
From Bjorn Ironside have come a great many men, for he founded the house of Munso which ruled Sweden. The dynasty is named for the island of Munso which is where Bjorn Jarnsidas hog, or Bjorn Ironsde’s barrow rests.

Ubbe Ragnarsson is alive in the in the show moving into Season 5B.
But in history Ubbe Fell in Battle: Against the Anglo-Saxons at the forest called The Arx Cynuit in 878AD.
Ubbe Ragnarsson died as commander of a Viking army. Though his men buried him in a mound called Ubbelawe. (Meaning Ubbe’s barrow)

Hvitserk Ragnarsson is still alive on the show moving into season 5 part B.
In history he chose his manner of his death, Hvitserk’s army was overwhelmed in Russa (Russia) and Hvitserk was seized. His only request was to choose the day and manner of his death.
He chose to burn on a pyre made of the heads of his men who had fallen in battle. Twelve of his companions chose to burn with him, rather then accepting safe passage to return home.
One son whitch I had endured death in Eastern Ways; He was called Hvitserk, who was never eager to flee. He was heated on heads hewed from those chosen at battle- our brave prince chose that death before he fell.

Sigurd Snake-in-the-Eye Ragnarsson (Died season 4 episode 20)
In the show he died from his younger brother Ivar-the-Boneless by getting an axe thrown at his stomach, after winning the battles against King Aelle and King Ecbert killing them both.
In history he fell in battle: against Emperor Arnulf of East Francia alongside a hundred thousand Danes and Norweigans.
One of Sigurd’s men escaped, carrying Sigurd’s standard and sword. He went to Denmark and gave Aslaug the tidings of Sigurd’s death. From Sigurd have come a great many of heros.

The Blood Eagle
The first picture is of Jarl Borg being executed by Ragnar Lothbrok, for attacking Ragnars home town of Kattegat when he was raiding in England.
Almost killing Rollo and Aslaug, and the remandier of the living villagers and Ragnar’s sons. (Season 2 Episode 7)
The second picture is of King Aelle being executed by Bjorn Ironside, but his army was destroyed by Bjorn Ironside, Ubbe Ragnarsson, Hvitserk Ragnarsson, Sigurd Snake-in-the-Eye, Ivar the Boneless, and the rest of the Heathen great army.
King Aelle was executed for murdering Ragnar Lothbrok there father in a pit of snakes. (Season 4-B Episode 18)
What is a Blood Eagle?
It was performed by slicing open the back of the victim ( with a knife or a small dagger of some kind), then hacking the ribs away from the spine(with an throwing axe), causing them to spring apart to resemble bloody wings, then drawing the lungs out of victim's back and draping them over the shoulders.
As for King Aelle the brothers and Floki decide that they would hang him up over top of the pit were there father was murderer.
