HISTORY: BIXLOW
Clover Town is a smaller settlement nestled in a rocky, mountainous area of Fiore and surrounded by deep canyons. The only way to reliably reach the town is by railway, and despite it being the site of the local mage guild masters' regional meeting, it otherwise doesn't see many travelers. The canyons and rocky outcrops surrounding the village are the subject of many rumors, some of which have drifted closer to superstitions over time. Ghosts and specters (and potentially worse) haunt those cliffs, they say, the souls of those who fell to their deaths many years ago. The wind howling through the canyons certainly didn't help debunk those rumors, sometimes sounding like the echo of someone's screams as they fell.
All this to say, Clover Town was quite isolated, surrounded by ghost stories and mystery, and generally pretty quiet overall. Which was honestly quite boring to Bixlow as he grew up. Despite the many rumors of ghost sightings not many showed up to search for them -- not even the mages of the closer towns' guilds. Bixlow was fascinated with the idea from a young age, himself, and would often try to stay up at night and listen for the sound of wind literally howling by.
It was on one of these nights, around his tenth birthday, that he saw his first soul.
He'd been sitting outside on his family home's front porch, watching the cliffs outside of town. He'd often change up when and where he posted up, not wanting anyone (including his parents, who tried to discourage this habit, or the ghosts he was searching for) to find a routine and catch him before he could see them. When he stayed home like this (usually as a compromise to his parents so they wouldn't worry about him climbing somewhere), sometimes his little sister would join him for a few hours. She was never really as enthusiastic about the opportunity to meet someone that'd passed on, often worried they'd be hostile, but she had to admit to some curiosity, and Bixlow admired her bravery for facing something she obviously feared.
Midnight had come and gone and the night had been far quieter than usual, leaving her quite unsettled and unable to sleep. So despite the late hour she'd stayed with him, sitting on the swing across the way from where he perched on the railing, looking eastward with his back to her.
Why they'd gone to her, that night, and not the one that'd been actively searching for them, he'd been unaware of at the time, but resented all the same. He heard her shift, thinking she was getting up from the swing to finally go inside, and thought nothing of it, murmuring a farewell over his shoulder.
Her voice, when she responded, was...off.
"Brother, I....I don't feel so good. Something's wrong."
He turned, expecting to see her curled up on the swing instead of standing as he'd originally thought. He didn't expect to see something with her.
It was...vague, at first, just a small shape sitting on the swing next to her, as if meant to be there. Like a family pet, or a friend of a similar age. But as he turned something grabbed its attention, whatever it was, and it turned to him. Pitch-black hollows meant to be 'eyes' met his, and he froze, for a second not able to look away or see anything else. The...thing just watched him, impassive, and it took a few seconds for him to realize his sister had been calling him.
"...Sis, get inside. Okay? Fast as ya can. Go stay with Mom 'n Dad for a while."
Something in his tone brooked no argument, and the apparition turned to watch her, but then returned its dead stare to him. He wasn't sure how long they stayed with their eyes locked -- he realized sometime after sunrise it wasn't actually there anymore, and he was staring at where he'd remembered it to be.
After that, he continued to see the vague thing following his sibling -- he tried to talk to his parents about it, as they'd been able to reassure him about other 'sightings' before, but the concern in his mother's eyes when he described the shape was off-putting. She had vowed to look into it, checking in on the girl, and though she hid it through her expression, he could see the way she paled.
"You saw it, too."
"...no. I don't see it. That worries me more."
His mother went on to tell him about magics, souls, things he didn't quite understand at the time but knew were grave, judging by her tone. She would be unable to help him, but she knew what was happening. She could guide him through what he would need to do.
Eventually. For now, he needed to learn, and they didn't have a lot of time.
So he learned. His mother's family were a line of priestesses tasked with guarding a veil between worlds -- the realm of mortals they lived in, and the realm of spirits. The entity he'd been seeing was one such spirit, that had been trying to break through to the mortal realm for most of his mother's life. It was apparently after his sister, assuming her to be the next in line, and thus it hadn't gone after Bixlow despite him being able to sense it.
Over the next few months, his mother taught him something called seith magic, alongside many different exercises to attempt to communicate with spirits -- though none seemed to bear fruit -- and all the while the spirit watching his sister grew more distinct, more real. It went from being the size of a small dog to being so large it would have had to duck while inside, all the while keeping those voids where eyes might have been. It could never enter the house, thanks to protection charms his mother had on the building, but it would lurk just outside her bedroom window every night, and shadow her every time she went out. She got sick; chills often wracked her frame, her energy waning. According to his mother, her soul was waning. He tried not to point out that she was showing the same signs. He didn't want to think of it, to make it real.
Then, their time ran out.
He heard his sister's scream as he sensed it, some sort of pull on something he wasn't quite sure was physical. He and his mother arrived to her room at the same time, and immediately knew they were too late. She had told him the veil would thin in the winter months, that they had to be prepared for this. The spirit had broken the charms, made its way inside, found her. But they could stop it here.
I'm not ready, the little boy said, just like in the stories, but the hand on his shoulder and the calm gaze steadied him.
Ready or not, his mother replied, as she always had. It has to be you. It has to be now. I will be right here to guide you, after all is said and done.
She hadn't mentioned that she'd be beside him as a soul under the effect of his magics.
In the end, the veil was repaired, the entity destroyed -- but it had cost him dearly. Though his sister and mother were still around him, he was the only one that knew it. Though the entity was gone, its last few moments of existence had been spent to curse him. A strange mark had appeared on his face, and he couldn't make eye contact with anyone, or...
For a while, his mother continued to teach him about his seith magics, and it was by her advice that he found something to cover the newly-formed mark on his face and the haunted look in his eyes. His father knew of what happened, and although Bixlow wasn't to blame, their relationship was strained in their mourning. After he turned fifteen, Bixlow eventually left his home the next time the local guildmasters' meeting took place, walking directly into the meeting unannounced and requesting permission to join one of the guilds to try and control his abilities. Thus he ended up following Makarov Dreyar back to Fairy Tail, joining the mage guild shortly after.

Eating habits and sample daily menu
As would be expected of both a dragon slayer and a strong mage, Acnologia eats a lot -- though he tends to...cheat, in a way. Considering his ability to switch between forms, he has no qualms with hunting as a dragon and then eating as a human to stretch what he's able to get from each bit of prey. As such, his usual menu is typically just roasted meat or simple stews, especially considering he's unlikely to venture into human settlements without the intent to destroy them. He's also not above seeing such places as sources of food in and of themselves, if hunts are not going well.

Given a blank piece of paper, a pencil, and nothing to do, what would happen?
He'd start doodling almost immediately. He's actually pretty good at drawing his totems on the margins of papers(he's had lots of practice). He might also jot down recipe ideas to try later on. Or make paper airplanes and toss them at a certain few someones(you know who you are).
What recharges them when they’re feeling drained?
Making someone else laugh. Honestly. He adores when his shenanigans can get a smile from someone. Do you have any idea how long he worked at getting Laxus to even just chuckle at him a bit??? He's still proud of that first little snort he managed to pull from the grump when he wasn't expecting it. It's forever in his memory.

Please un-learn guilt-tripping, not only in the RPC, but in online spaces as a whole.
This is a passive behavior that people may not even realize that they're even engaging with. I understand wanting asks, starters, replies, or any engagement with this collaborative hobby. However, a lot of people say things such as;
'I wish more people would interact with me...' 'My (canon muse) isn't as good as other (canon muses) in the rpc...' 'I should just delete... Nobody's writing with me...' '(reblogs open starter again) #some replies would be nice...'
I hate to be blunt, but ask yourself. When was the last time you sent your mutuals some asks, anonymous or not? When was the last time you replied to someone else's open starter? I understand being in a bad funk, but there are better ways to deal with those negative emotions that don't involve guilting your follower-base for not engaging with you constantly. You can't be possessive of your following and expect them to be happy to engage with you. Your writing partners are people, too.
Please stop guilting people, and recognize when you may be doing it when phrasing things in specific ways. Un-learn passive aggressive engagement with your following and partners as a whole. Put yourself out there if you think other people aren't. Be the writing partner that uplifts people, not make them feel 'obligated' to engage with you. Please.

HEADCANON - THREE GRAND FAIRY SPELLS
Fairy Tail as a guild is rather famous ( or infamous ) for many things, but one that exists more as a legend than a known fact are the Three Grand Fairy Spells. The term was coined by Fairy Tail's second guild master, Precht Gaebolg, as a way to describe three powerful spells created by Mavis during her lifetime and the knowledge of which has been passed down from generation to generation within the guild via the guild masters. This post will go over the creation and purpose of all three spells based on their introduction within the series.
Tumblr media
ONE. FAIRY LAW.
Fairy Law is an iteration of the black magic spell 'Law', an extremely powerful and ancient spell used as a means of judgement, purging what the caster deems as evil from their target, leaving behind what they deem as good. This spell, while lost to the ages, is known for its steep learning curve and disastrous consequences for being cast in an incomplete state. Despite all of this, Mavis herself cast the spell, knowing it was a last resort and there was no time to master a spell. The cost of the spell is unparalleled, but Mavis also understood the versatility and importance of a spell like Law, which brought her to the conclusion of altering it, in the hopes of preventing anyone else from falling into a similar fate as her own. There were two primary school of thoughts when she began her work altering the spell. One. Prevent anyone from falling victim to the same fate as herself upon casting it. She needed to implement a fail safe into the spell in case it was being cast in an incomplete form, and thus decided the best course of action was to have the spell call from the casters life force. Because the intended use of Law, and by extension, Fairy Law, is to be used on a limited target at a limited range, Mavis believed this cost of casting was the safest route to go, and would also deter the misuse of the spell, both in terms of large scale battles or careless casting. Two. To ensure that the caster is fully aware and accepts the price of which they are paying to cast this spell, a secondary fail safe was put into place. With a spell as powerful and dangerous as Law, the last thing Mavis would have wanted is the spell to be used against someone without proper intent or realization. This lead Mavis to alter the spell to be only be effective on those who they believe to be their enemies within their hearts. This prevented the spell from being misused in a moment of rage or disagreement and would cause the spell to be fundamentally useless against those in who both the heart and mind do not agree upon as an enemy. Fairy Law was the last of the spells to be created, as its inception lined up with the second trade war following Mavis' realization that if she herself could find and cast an incomplete version of Law in a moment of desperation, what was stopping an exhausted wizard soldier ( someone who held very little stakes in this conflict ) from finding and casting Law themselves in hopes of ending the conflict. Thankfully, the war had come to its conclusion before Mavis was able to complete the spell, but that did not stop her from making the knowledge of the spell readily accessible to those within the guild. The instructions on how to cast Fairy Law were written and published by Mavis to be held within the guild library, with the goal of someone coming across Fairy Law long before they find Law itself and will cast that version instead. Following the revelation of her immortality due to casting Law, Mavis had relentlessly cast Fairy Law upon herself, hoping that her altered spell and it's cost of the caster's life would counteract the immortality and take her own life. These attempts were unsuccessful and caused Mavis to exhaust her magic supply on multiple instances, leading her to pass out in isolated locations for multiple days on end ( something she truly didn't mind considering what her end goal was )
Tumblr media
TWO. FAIRY GLITTER
Fairy Glitter is a spell created to vanquish those who the caster deem as wicked by gathering the light of the sun, moon and stars and concentrating the light into a singular point, this being the caster's forearm before being directed upon their target. While little is known about this spell, even within the guild itself, Fairy Glitter stands as the strongest of the three spells created by Mavis. As the first of the three grand fairy spells, the spell itself actually proceeds the guild's existence by almost a year as it's creation was primarily out of grief and as a way for Mavis to channel the energy she would have used mourning into something she would deem productive ( a destructive habit Mavis has always had since the siege of Red Lizard ). The sole inspiration for Fairy Glitter came from Mavis' final moments with Zera, watching her best friend and only true support system vanish away in a blinding light and become what she could only describe in that moment as glitter. The pain Mavis felt in that moment, being blinded by what she could only tell herself was the light of the heavens and the universe, awoke an almost cruel part of her mind, wanting to find a way to channel that pain into something effective, eventually leading to the creation of Fairy Glitter. It's strength was both fully intentional and an extreme oversight on Mavis' part. Mavis wanted the spell to be something anyone could wield, as long as their conviction, will and heart were all in the right place, it didn't matter if the caster was alive or not, physical or illusion. This implication of the spell lead it to being effective against the intangible ( thought projections, illusions, souls ) and cause damage to the origin as well. Mavis found it almost fitting that it carried this additional effect, almost comforted in the fact that the caster could use the spell to defend themselves from things others may not see. Within a year, Mavis had refined the spell, channeling its power within a magic circle which would be imprinted on the casters arm as a beacon to summon the magic energy to. This process does cause damage to the caster's arm, as all the energy of the spell is held within that point until released upon their target. Multiple castings of this spell and in rapid succession can lead to the caster's arm becoming permanently damaged. Despite it's immense power and high versatility, very little people know of the spells existence. This was a spell made of grief and almost as a memorial to Mavis' closest friend, and thus wanted to keep it to herself. The only people who knew of the spells existence were the other three founders, as they were with her upon placing the spell in Zera's grave on Tenro as it's final resting place. Mavis had also placed a spell upon the grave, believing that Zera's spirit was still residing on the island, and thus gave the decision on who could wield the spell to her deceased friend. There have only been three mages to wield Fairy Glitter since its inception: Mavis Vermillion, Yuriy Dreyar and Cana Albarona
Tumblr media
THREE. FAIRY SPHERE.
Fairy Sphere, known as the ultimate defense spell, forms and impenetrable sphere around the casters by harnessing the energy of multiple mages and the bonds they share to materialize. The strength of the spell is partially dependent on how many people are casting the spell and the strength of the bond of those involved. Created a few months before wizarding guilds were pulled into the second trade war, Fairy Sphere was originally supposed to be a healing and support spell. Healing magic was already considered a lost magic during this era but Mavis was always considered rather stubborn and determined, so she took whatever available knowledge she could find and began developing a spell. Her attempts kept ending in failures and she was almost ready to abandon the project before Warrod approached her with the idea of making a defense spell rather than a healing spell, which caused her to shift her trajectory and began researching defense based magics instead. Although she is credited as the sole creator of the spell, a large portion of the ideas and concepts came from Warrod himself, although he would never take credit for it, claiming that he was just spit balling ideas at Mavis and wasn't a real help ( something Mavis would greatly beg to differ ). It was Warrod's input that lead to Mavis altering the spell to require multiple wizards to cast it, especially considering Warrod was one to protect those he loves above himself and where he drew his strength from. Although it's primary function had shifted to defense, Mavis was still determined to create some form of healing within the spell. She eventually came to the conclusion that she wanted those within the sphere to be protected from existing ailments, poisons or curses. Her solution to this was to implement a strong nullification magic within the sphere, with the intention of pausing whatever was causing the ailment from spreading. It was a large oversight on Mavis' part that the nullification spell could be cast improperly and cause time to pause within the sphere. While she was the creator of the spell, she never intended for it to be able to stop time and prevent aging. By the time of the spells completion, wizarding guilds had been pulled into the war, leaving Mavis preoccupied with tactical meetings and the development of Fairy Law, which lead to Warrod being the one to write down the instructions on how to cast Fairy Sphere. Of all three of her spells, Fairy Sphere was the only one Mavis had not been able to cast within her lifetime, only successfully casting it following her death on Tenro. However, Mavis was made aware that the spell could be cast successfully after word had gotten back from her that Warrod and Precht and successfully casted a much weaker version of the spell during a battle. While all of those involved in the war were aware of the spells existence, most knowledge of it had faded to obscurity after peace was establish.

"I dunno, she was pretty mad about me bein' there last time..."
He paused as Chico spoke again, then snickered. "Oh, that's how it is! Throwin' me under the carriage now, huh??"
Despite the words, his tone was one of amusement. "I might, though, honestly. Haven't talked to anyone over there in a while."

Canon Divergences
Though Bix can be a menace, it's never explicitly at the expense of someone that isn't laughing along -- or if it is, he will do everything he can to put a stop to it. He's after shenanigans and chicanery, not ruining someone's day.
Along those lines -- very rarely if ever will he comment on someone's love life, perceived or real. (No hinting that Lucy and Loke are 'doing it,' things like that. He's not 12 even if he acts like it sometimes.)
During the Tenrou arc, though Bixlow did agree to let Cana and Lucy pass if they faced them in the S-Class trials, their strategy was not to be defeated by a weakness for barely-clothed women. The two put up a fight and ensured it was a challenge, but ultimately lost with grace (and did not have to hold back as much as they expected, or honestly much at all -- Lucy and Cana are a great team and they earned their way through).
You cannot tell me Ever and Bix wouldn't have realized right away that they needed to switch opponents when fighting Wahl's Weakness Soldiers. They're literally right next to each other, commenting on the magics their targets are using. I also HIGHLY doubt he would have tried his Figure Eyes on them considering he'd be able to see they don't have human souls.
More TBA as needed!
