please explain to me how it’s anywhere near ethical in the international pov that israel opened fire on nasser hospital a few days ago, killing a patient and wounding several. keep in mind that this is the main operating hospital in southern gaza, and bombing it out of service could mean catastrophic things for the endless stream of gazans wounded. and they don’t even stop there. the IOF proceeded to raid the hospital, on grounds that hamas was “hiding remains of hostages in the hospital” (because that sounds completely reasonable and not an excuse fabricated for the sole sake of justifying murdering palestinian patients). how do people hear this and still don’t think Israel is a genocidal entity. how does anyone read a headline like that and not want to throw up from how depraved and horrific it all sounds.

in light of israel's looming invasion on rafah, south africa implored the icj to call for the protection of palestinians with new preliminary orders. the icj denied this request, insisting that its january orders would be sufficient enough in ensuring the safety of people residing in rafah.
we have all seen how israel responded to the icj verdict earlier this month. they have all but intensified their attacks on palestinians, their favorite of whom seem to be children. this will end in a bloodbath. palestinians, already malnourished and living in literal tents, will be bombarded, they will be shot, they will be slaughtered. and when i say palestinians, a lot of them are actual toddlers. the videos coming out of this are proof enough.
at this point, it has been made amply clear that palestinians will never experience safety in their own homeland. a lot of the families in gaza are trying to raise funds to get out of it, because there's nowhere left to go.
there is nowhere left to go. if these people don't get the funds necessary to escape, they will die.
it's vital that you go to operation olive branch's spreadsheet, choose a family that resonates with you, and donate as much as you can to their gofundme. every last dollar counts. one dollar could be the difference between life and death for a family. please don't fall victim to the bystander effect. your contribution counts, however little it may be. and whether you're able to donate or not, spread this to as many people as you can. each second we stay silent is a second an entire family is brutally massacred.

the video of taylor swift clubbing has more than 5 million likes on tiktok. again, clubbing. she can go out clubbing and post about it but can’t take a minute out of her day to speak up for palestine. you’re so unbelievably stupid if you even try to defend her silence. you’re also stupid if you try to label the people trying to hold her accountable as misogynistic or any other bullshit simply because they’re asking the bare minimum of your favorite celebrity. “what about beyoncé?” “what about justin bieber?” “what about all the other artists?” THEM TOO. but let’s not pretend that that she does not have the biggest platform in the world right now. how many people tuned in to watch the superbowl just because of her? how many people are talking about her upcoming album? how many people will attend her eras tour? how many already have? just think of the major shift she could cause if she simply uttered the word “ceasefire” or simply tweeted “free palestine”. some of you act as if we’re asking her to physically go out there and single-handedly stop this genocide. literally all we ask is that she speak up.

i don’t care about the superbowl. i don’t care about taylor swift and her plane. i don’t care about beyoncé’s new album. i don’t care about how many billionaires are at the biggest sports game in america when there are millions of innocent lives being taken for sport. i’m sick. i can’t stomach any normality while human beings, with stories and lives and real humanity are being wiped off the face of the earth as we speak. save rafah. free palestine. if we don’t, we’ve all failed.

during the Super Bowl, while Americans were distracted, Israel launched heavy bombardment on Rafah, where well over 1 million Palestinians are sheltering. Rafah is the furthest south you can go in Gaza, where Israel promised time and time again Palestinians would be safe while they bombed the evacuation routes. there are reports of a ground invasion. they told them to evacuate. there is nowhere for them to go.
right now it is vital that we do not look away. boost everything you see coming out of Gaza. keep an eye on updates from trusted sources and spread them where you can. take breaks if you have to but please. please i am begging you, do not look away.

I am Jewish. I am an anti-Zionist. I am always and forever pro-Palestine.
My grandmother was born in Palestine before Israel existed. My grandmother, who died less than a decade ago (in her 70s) was already older than the settler colonial state of Israel. Judaism exists without Zionism. Zionism goes against the Jewish religion. Zionism is white supremacy.
From the river to the sea Palestine WILL BE FREE

Just the fact that the moderate, liberal position on Palestine for most of my life was "these millions of people should just endure permanent brutal apartheid without complaint, and also if you call it 'apartheid' you're an antisemite," and now it's evolved to "Israel should be able to kill as many of them as it wants, and if you complain, then you're an antisemite in the pay of Russia and China"

From 2/15 until 2/29 if you purchase an e-sim or donate $20 or more to any of the organizations listed under "Donations" here I will draw an inky creature for you!
All you have to do is send an email with a screenshot of your receipt (which must be dated between 2/15 and 2/29) to [email protected] along with a description of the kind of creature you’d like. Feel free to specify what animal or combination of animals you’d like your creature to resemble, as well as any other physical characteristics, or even just to say that you’d like me to surprise you! Colored accents or accessories are also an option. I'll reply with your creature once it's finished.
It probably won't be an issue because of the nature of the subject matter, but just in case I'll note that I will not draw anything NSFW. And unless you request otherwise, I may post finished commissions here.

"The prime ministers of Canada, Australia and New Zealand have issued a joint statement saying a
"humanitarian ceasefire is urgently needed" in Gaza and that they are "gravely concerned" about looming Israeli military operations in Rafah.
"A military operation into Rafah would be catastrophic.
About 1.5 million Palestinians are taking refuge in the area, including many of our citizens and their families," the statement reads.
"With the humanitarian situation in Gaza already dire, the impacts on Palestinian civilians from an expanded military operation would be devastating. We urge the Israeli government not to go down this path."
The statement - cosigned by Prime Ministers Anthony Albanese, Justin Trudeau and Christopher Luxon - also said that Israel "must listen to its friends and it must listen to the international community" and that Palestinian civilians can't be made to "pay the price of defeating Hamas""
