“Mama died having me, and ain’t never met my daddy.
I’d like to, though, but where on earth would I even begin?”

Davina Romano, better known as simply Romano to others, is one of the many children to have been scorned within the world—growing up with an environment that encouraged little more than fighting hard for a lukewarm meal, and an itchy; thin blanket. Cons weren’t always the high-paying kind. Adopted by the owners of an extravagant travelling circus, when she was little more than a few months in age—Davina was never allowed to experience a life; where she had her two parents, an old dog that had always been in the family, and a white picket fence. No. Instead, Davina lost her mother during her own birth; and her father had cut all ties with the poor woman; the minute he was done with their one-night stand.
The Duchess’ Freaks had raised her to the best of their ability; creating one of the most infamous acrobats to come from a gaggle of eccentric nobodies, who was more than capable of manipulating the high society into giving her more of their dough, than they initially intended to hand out. Davina had been raised to be the perfect con-woman; a crook, who just so happened to have skills outside of simply pocketing your coins, when you happened to turn your back upon her. Life had been good—food, a decently comfortable bed, and an amazing family. Naturally, however, good things always had to eventually find a way to conclude.
It had been the local law, led along the trail by a particularly nasty officer of the Pinkerton Agency, which had erased the circus from future years—some folks had been arrested; others had been murdered; and only one or two had actually managed to slip away amidst the chaos, terrified to take a stand against the law. Aeron Thomas had discovered Davina in the months after her escape from the encounter—riddled with guilt; a haunted look in her blue eyes; performing on the side of the roads within Lemoyne, for even the tiniest bit of coin, or piece of food. How could she have run away? How could she have taken off into the darkness; the minute things looked too horrible? How could she had left her family to die?! All of these questions had rushed through her mind; overwhelming her with this level of self hatred and rage, that was all too evident within the frightened child.
Around the time of her popping up on their radar; the organisation that the eldest Thomas brother prided himself in being apart of, had earned itself the reputation of being a militant cult—snatching people from their homes; and dragging them deep into the woods; reforming them into obedient sheep and willing little pawns. The newspapers and law were attempting to terrorise the public into fearing the organisation, unwilling to reveal that most ‘victims’ had freely chosen the group; a detail that had quickly been discovered by Davina—when she had decided to take an early morning walk through the woods one day, tears staining her young face; chest heaving with her guilty sobs, and she had found her own redemption.
Eurion Thomas had been a soft-spoken man, preaching a faith that didn’t exist within the day-to-day life of American Christians, and acknowledging her with a warmth that she hadn’t felt for a long time. He had been so kind; so welcoming; and he had claimed that he had known another hurt child would come searching shelter and security within his flock. It had been on that very quiet morning, that Davina had allowed herself to be submerged within a nearby lake; had allowed herself to finally take the first steps in becoming the person that she knows now. It hadn’t been an easy transition—but presently, Davina has grown to be one of the closest individuals to the Thomas brothers; a sweet child, who encourages the frightened to join their family, and became the foundation for the closer bond that Eurion’s inner circle has since developed. Additionally, within the years that it took for Davina to discover herself; she developed a desire to find her father; and with the assistance of the inner circle—she finally found her first real lead…
