Welcome to Serene Hollow, Oregon – a charming town in the Pacific Northwest, equipped with tranquil nature views, cool hangouts, and an up and coming social scene. It’s no wonder celebrities of all levels of status want to live there. It has everything anyone could ever want and then some. The only strange thing about Serene Hollow is that it’s… well, strange. Once called a curiosity by the settlers that discovered it during America’s expansion to the west, bizarre occurrences happen here daily. From the outside looking in, it’s easy to dismiss the odd stories as nothing more than conspiracy theorists and weirdos trying to make something out of nothing. “They’re just really good at Photoshop and freaking people out,” people say when they hear the stories, usually in the midst of incredulous laughter, “There’s no way a place like that actually exists.”

Town of Anomalies is a plot-based, writing focused, AU celebrity roleplay set in the fictional town of Serene Hollow, Oregon. It draws heavily on themes found in popular podcasts such as Welcome to Night Vale and TANIS as well as the secretive “closed” towns found in some places in the world. This group hosts a multitude of town events as well as mandatory monthly plot drops meant to enhance character development and keep an active storyline progressing.
