dp x dc question lol
Is there any fics where the batfam actually faces consequences for looking into Danny’s life? I just find it annoying how their paranoia gets the best of them and they literally intrude on his life, so was just wondering if there are any fics that have them get consequences

Dcxdp #26
Sam reincarnated as Damien. I think I've only seen this once and I love the idea. they have a lot of the same core personality traits so I don't think it'd be that hard to have them be reincarnated.
Sam/Damien meets Tucker's newest reincarnation at school. Tucker's reincarnation has their memories due to timeline shenanigans/ plot convenience. Tucker recognizes Sam and ends giving their memories Back. Sam/Damian refuses to tell their family about this till they're more comfortable with them because this would be very early on from when they've moved to the manor.  The family's very happy that Damian is making friends but when Sam and Tucker are together it freaks them out. They keep mentioning this third friend Danny that no one has ever seen.
Damien getting Sam's Memories Back makes them even more of a menace because they can't change their outward personality due to the shift would make the family paranoid but Sam's memories give them the one thing they could be before. knowledgeable to be a Menace. they didn't know what they were doing wrong before due to being raised with League but now they do and now it's on purpose.

Danny puts up with a lot of stress, okay. His coping mechanism is....okay, it's a little weird, he's not gonna lie.
It is widely known that he has a human form and a ghost form; it is not widely known that his ghost form can do pretty much whatever he wants it to.
This includes making it smaller. Changing the ghost tail to a fish one. Making the suit be scales instead of a suit.
He does it so many times he now officially has three forms, and one of them is purely for himself and no one else.
His stress relief is to go to the aquarium, switch to the tiny merman form, and hide in the rocks of his favorite exhibit; the shark exhibit.
He stays in the back, away from the people visiting it's sight, and just vibes. He's even made a small cave the sharks can't fit into a tiny little nest.
No one would expect him there. No one would be looking for him there. He was free to just...take a moment.
Well, so he thought.
Because the humans visiting did see him. Multiple times.
They took pictures.
Now the Amity Park Aquarium is in some deep shit with Atlantis, because there's documented proof that they're keeping a literal baby mer in there as a spectacle.

Dc x dp prompt #45
Danny is no stranger to curses, he’d been on the receiving end of many.
Being cursed into a doll and thrown through a natural portal was new though, and very much not enjoyable.
When he was thrown out of the portal and into a dark attic, he thought he’d finally be able to calm down from the initial shock and get home to fix this.
And he might have, if not for his powers not working.
And there were a lot of footsteps coming too close for comfort, so he decided to take a page from Toy Story, stay as still as possible and hope these people didn’t visit the attic regularly enough to notice a random porcelain doll the size of a toddler. Yep, totally an easy thing to miss.
The Wayne Manor’s attic was a disaster.
With as many kids that have lived there, it was filled to the brim with old keepsakes, toys, and weapons.
Every year or so, the family would all make a game of sorts out of it, cleaning the attic. They’d keep what they didn’t want to part with, restore weapons they had renewed interest in, and donate most of the old toys.
This just so happened to be Duke’s first time doing it, and Dick and Tim already warned him about some of the stuff in here, like Damian’s weapons and Jason’s book collection that didn’t fit in the library. No one told him about the glowing marionette puppet looking doll though.
Well, technically it wasn’t glowing, but it was glowing to him, and considering it was coming from some creepy doll?.
It only took his siblings to agree that they’ve never seen it before for him to decide that, no, he was not cleaning the attic today. He’d rather never see that doll again, thank you.
So why on earth is Damian carrying it with him to dinner like it’s an actual child.

Having been declared legally dead and without a cent to his name, Danny arrives in Gotham desperate for any job. So when he gets hired by a rich couple to babysit their kid while they're away (which apparently is quite often) without them even doing a background check on him, he thinks he's hit the jackpot.
Until he finds out just how neglected this kid is. Danny knows from personal experience just how that can mess a person up so he decides to shower this kid with all the love and attention he could ever dream of. And maybe figure out a way to stop him from sneaking out at night.

Danny phantom gets punted into the DC dimension and goes absolutely mother hen on EVERYONE.
This guy is so worried about them he gangs up with batmans kids to get him to consider therapy, buys Billy Batson snacks and new clothes, gives the Flashes really super high metabolism granola bars that he made himself, brings back the queen family's arrows from where they got left around the city, stuff like that.
He eventually kinda becomes the DC's guardian angel of superheros as they start to realize he's visited and helped all of them (they dont really know how to feel about the fact that he seems to know most of their identities but they can't really do anything about that)
Best part is? He's doing it as fenton. No one knows he's a ghost, they just think he's Some Dude.

The Fenton’s move their eyes onto the environment and global warming while Danny’s at college.
And suddenly, the Fentons have the Leage of Assisans subtly looking out for them
The reveal went right, but now how are the Fenton parents gonna provide for their kids if they don't make weapons anymore?
They invent a serum that elongates dog's lives.
Dogs that take the serum have their lifespans go from 16 to 66; granted this does also effect the years in which they're matured enough to make puppies, but it evens out. They age slower, are less prone to getting sick, and also possibly are guaranteed to turn into ghosts that will stick around but it's fine.
That explodes in popularity, and becomes standard for working dogs of all sorts. And also other dogs.
Then the Fentons re-invent insulin. But it's once, ever, instead of regular insulin. One $5 shot and anyone's pancreas works normally for the rest of their life.
The Fentons invent a 100% survival cure for Rabies. ($20)
The Fentons invent the cure for (most kinds of) cancer. ($10)
The Fentons invent a way to make a Star Trek reference real; a pill that can regrow an organ in a few days. ($45, that one is a little tricky to make)
They do all of this in the span of three years. By the time Danny is ready to attend college, "Fenton" is a well known name of miracle workers.
Also he's richer than Sam.

Good Traits Gone Bad
Exploring good traits gone bad in a novel can add depth and complexity to your characters. Here are a few examples of good traits that can take a negative turn:
1. Empathy turning into manipulation: A character with a strong sense of empathy may use it to manipulate others' emotions and gain an advantage.
2. Confidence becoming arrogance: Excessive confidence can lead to arrogance, where a character belittles others and dismisses their opinions.
3. Ambition turning into obsession: A character's ambition can transform into an unhealthy obsession, causing them to prioritize success at any cost, including sacrificing relationships and moral values.
4. Loyalty becoming blind devotion: Initially loyal, a character may become blindly devoted to a cause or person, disregarding their own well-being and critical thinking.
5. Courage turning into recklessness: A character's courage can morph into reckless behavior, endangering themselves and others due to an overestimation of their abilities.
6. Determination becoming stubbornness: Excessive determination can lead to stubbornness, where a character refuses to consider alternative perspectives or change their course of action, even when it's detrimental.
7. Optimism becoming naivety: Unwavering optimism can transform into naivety, causing a character to overlook dangers or be easily deceived.
8. Protectiveness turning into possessiveness: A character's protective nature can evolve into possessiveness, where they become overly controlling and jealous in relationships.
9. Altruism becoming self-neglect: A character's selflessness may lead to neglecting their own needs and well-being, to the point of self-sacrifice and burnout.
10. Honesty becoming brutal bluntness: A character's commitment to honesty can turn into brutal bluntness, hurting others with harsh and tactless remarks.
These examples demonstrate how even admirable traits can have negative consequences when taken to extremes or used improperly. By exploring the complexities of these traits, you can create compelling and multi-dimensional characters in your novel.
Happy writing!

Hey so I love your writing so much and how you write characters a lot (they feel so alive and organic I love it) and I was wondering if you had any tips on characterizing?
Oh i did not see this until just barely so sorry for the late reply!
I love characterization so much, but as far as tips go, my best suggestion is... observation and practice, and a lot of cross-referencing with your past writing of that character, to create consistency. Having a clear understanding of their motives, their strong suits and their insecurities. I do just. So much thinking about my stories, I daydream. And I talk to people about them. for hours. it reveals things. Talk to a friend in a car for 2 hours in front of their house at 1 in the morning. You will have epiphanies.
As far as fanfiction goes, I think the best question to ask yourself is: what compels me the most about this character, or this character dynamic? and then really just get elbow deep in it. Right, how can I make these issues come to the surface?
And lastly, casual interactions are your best friend. The best way to make your writing feel grounded in reality is by... grounding it in reality? When your blorbos are seen doing sibling banter, or friendly ribbing, or whatever, your audience sees them more as real, alive, organic. And that loops back around to observation. Watch how real people interact. How you interact with your friends, ect.
I don't really know? Genuinely i just think about my stories so much like. they live rent free in my head 24/7.

DP x DC x Subnautica AU: Mer!Phantom
I... couldn't stop adding patterns over patterns and pigmentations over pigmentations... I needed to physically restrain myself from making him... even more busy! I know his design is still pretty busy, but that's just how I like to draw my stuff.
Anyway, here's ya ghosty boy in all his sea snake glory!
PLEASE VOTE FOR BILLY BATSON'S ROLE IN THE POLL
Here's Tim and Human Danny
And here's the fic: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5. Inspired by this post by @puppetmaster13u.
AMAZING Fanart by @noisytimetravelsheep
Some data below the cut:
A lot of inspiration was taken from this art by @noisytimetravelsheep and this art and original post by @puppetmaster13u. Sadly I couldn't add the constellation patterns on the topside of the tail because they wouldn't have been visible enough. I compensated with vague stardust pattern.
(The skeleton is made with a pre-made brush. If you have Clip Studio, it's Raiku Bone Brushes V2, Content ID:1813662)
I haven't figured out yet when and how Danny will regain his ghost form, since it was blocked ever since the Aurora came into 4546B's orbit. But it's definitely not gonna happen soon and he will have to go through many an adventure on the ocean planet without it.
I was told that sea snakes have one of the most lethal venoms around and I saw potential for ✨TEH DRAMA✨ in that. So yeah, Danny is now venomous.
I'm debating whether he can still go intangible, or just... squeeze his body through very narrow spaces.
The grip of that tail is like that of an anaconda - he can choke a Reaper to death (one more reason to make this form an endgame, because it's op as fuck).
Aside from preferring cold temperatures, he also makes the water around him colder. His ice powers are still there.
How... dangerous would his ghostly wail be while underwater? Probably wouldn't be the best idea to use it not above the surface.
Oh! And he doesn't need air in this form since he has gills. But he'd have to transform back to human if he wants to go ashore - can't be a snek boy while struggling to breathe.
He is also, unfortunately (or fortunately, depends on how you look at it) still not resistant to Nocturne Leviathan's (Tim's) hypnotic gaze.
