Hey guys. It’s been almost a year since I last posted on these blogs and… with a heavy heart, I finally have decided to retire these RP blogs. I’m sorry for the asks I never answered and for the RPs that I did not continue. I had some amazing times here and made some wonderful friends, whom I shall cherish forever. Journey still means a lot to me and so do all of you, but it’s time for me to move on.
I’m going to keep these blogs here just for old time’s sake. I may still finish Ancestor Torramh’s story and upload it onto my AO3, so you can keep an eye on that if you’d like. When I do start uploading the story, I’ll also make an announcement here.
You can still follow me on my personal blog, my art blog, and my cosplay blog. Thank you so much for the wonderful times and I love you all. <3

((Heyyyy everybody. If you all probably hadn’t guessed so far, the lost wanderer, Myfanwy, and  Erebos will all be on an indefinite hiatus. I still want to keep these blogs running… but I just don’t have the time or energy or inspiration to do that right now.
I’ll still check in, but I’m not sure when I’ll be able to update. I hope my inspiration comes back sooner rather than later. I love you guys.))

Myfanwy still didn't know many other Journeyers, but she did appreciate the couple of kisses that she received. Even if one of the individuals was rather... strange.

((Taking a break from finals preparation and stuff to doodle Myfanwy's messy little house. I was thinking of Okami earlier today and I've always loved the houses in Wep'keer.
Myfanwy's house is built into the side of a cliff, close to the bridge on the mountain. It's a pretty small hole in the wall that you'd have to know where it is to find it. She covers the entrance with a thick piece of cloth.
The inside is small and cluttered, with rocks, pebbles, and papers strewn everywhere. Myfanwy hangs cloth and places carpets on the floor to keep her stone abode warm. She has a small fire and the smoke filters out through a crack in the ceiling. Her home is small and probably wouldn't be able to fit more than two people at a time, but she likes the cramped coziness.))

Myfanwy loved the underground and the feeling of enclosed tunnels all around her. Many people didn’t like the feeling of being enclosed, but the quiet and coolness of tons of rock made her feel comfortable and safe. She was glad that her companion was also relaxed, because Myfanwy had a bad habit of feeding off of other people’s emotions regardless of her familiarity with situations.
Anyu’s soft voice echoed through the tunnels, wistful imaginings of a culture that may not even exist. Myfanwy hoped—for Anyu’s sake—that it did exist. Myfanwy marked a smooth surface with some chalk.
<It would be interesting, to be sure. I wonder how their society has evolved through the ages… What traditions do they have? What clothing do they wear? What food do they eat?> Myfwany wondered aloud.
Even though Myfanwy was passionate about rocks and geological structures, the items that past civilizations left behind were also very curious. Sometimes they were even closely related with the very earth. With a smile, Myfanwy made another mark on the wall.

[< Ah, that sounds like a splendid idea! >] Anyu chimed happily at the mention of Myfanwy’s chalk idea. It was quite brilliant, if she had to give her opinion about it. Her hypothesis about the larger tunnels was also a very good start, although Anyu wished they had a brighter light to see more closely if the tunnels were man made or more natural. Perhaps as a geologist, Myfanwy was able to tell these things somethimes. [< I think it would be a good idea to start looking. >]
As the pair walked deeper into the caverns, Anyu couldn’t help but feel a sense of calm and wonder at the place. Of course, the last time she had been underground it was mostly an unfortunate accident, but it didn’t feel very frightening and desperate when she was with a companion. Like the plan suggested they headed down the larger tunnels, and Anyu kept her ears perked in case there were odd sounds other than the footsteps their boots made on the stone floor.
[< I would love to discover a place untouched by the war in the past, it would be wonderful to learn about the cultures passed down in times of peace. >] Anyu spoke up, breaking a somewhat long silence, not that it was uncomfortable. She loved what books and scrolls told her of the past, but being able to see the real cultures and customs of those who were able to stay out of the way was something that gave such an indescribable feeling. Her mind couldn’t help but wander off at those thoughts.

<I hope it shall answer our questions as well.> Myfanwy grinned behind her mask and wagged her tail.
She moved closer to Anyu as the girl opened up her map and held the lantern higher so the light would wash over the paper. The white cloak inspected the paper as her companion spoke and pointed to the different twists and turns.
<To keep us from getting terribly lost, we can make marks on the tunnel walls to show which way we came. I have chalk and chisels for that,> Myfanwy kept her voice low as well, noting Anyu’s hushed tone, <I feel as though we should try to stick to the larger tunnels if we can… Perhaps those would be the most used and easy to navigate.>
Myfanwy peered down the dark tunnel and said, <Well my friend, shall we begin our journey to the center of the mountain?>

Anyu listened closely to what the white cloak was saying. It was fascinating, and although Anyu particularly found an interest in the lore of the past, this certainly grabbed her attention. She couldn’t quite imagine a world full of water instead of sand, and thinking about it was almost like thinking of a fantasy world. How could she tell so much from the rocks?
She wasn’t quite sure how to react when others talked of their ancestors, and figured that silence would be the best option. She didn’t want her mind to wander and her mood to turn foul after hearing such wonderful facts.
[< It’s amazing how much one can learn from the earth and the past. Remarkable really. I’m hoping we can satisfy both our questions when we find this place, >] Anyu’s eyes sparkled with determination as she spoke, though her companion would be unable to tell from her masked visage.
Anyu walked side-by-side with Myfanwy as she lit the lantern in the caves. As they stood closer their cloaks would light up as well, offering even more light should they need it. Anyu was quite glad to be out of the wind, and pulled her gloves off so she could handle the map even better. Placing her gloves in her bag, Anyu then unrolled the map and held it under the warm glow of the lantern.
[< Now this is where the real challenge begins. I know that it has given us hints towards the right path on the page, but places like these usually have dummy tunnels so that unwelcome guests will get lost. >] Anyu spoke softly in the silence of the mountain, without the wind there was no noise to talk over, and the echo was somewhat eerie should she speak too loudly. As excited as she was, being underground was somewhat unusual when she did not know the way.

Mywanwy listened with rapt attention, eyes wide and ears pricked up as Anyu described her flying and cloak. <I should love to see you fly sometime, if you wouldn’t mind. But… I feel like I’ll get the chance soon enough. Many of these caves and tunnels within the mountains have deep crevasses that we’ll have to fly over.>
The fox smiled and adjusted the bag on her shoulder. Rocks and jars clinked together inside. <There are some very interesting rock combinations in this desert and mountain. I did not actually find an interest in geology until I started catching glimpses of my ancestor whenever I walked to the mountain.>
<He was a scientist, a researcher. He did not believe in the gods as most of the other people of his time and was convinced that the world they lived in looked drastically different many years before. He was studying the rocks, trying to prove his theory right. Unfortunately, the war times were rough and he was widely disliked because of his atheism, and he was murdered before he could finish his studies.>
Myfanwy squinted into the darkness ahead and pulled out a lantern, lighting it with flint and steel. <Sorry for my ramblings about my ancestor, but while he wasn’t a very likeable man and I don’t agree with many of his claims… I do believe that this world looked vastly different long ago. Why, the rocks in the desert are typically found in the ocean… and the sand is mostly made of shell. And the mountain all of the wayfarers climb day in and day out, used to be part of a massive range.>
<This world must have been teeming with life eons ago. I want to know everything that happened,> She waved her arms to emphasise her words and sighed passionately. Then she looked at Anyu and winked, <And the rocks will tell that story.>

Anyu smiled under her mask, finding Myfanwy’s company rather refreshing. [< It’s the same concept, it just has a different use really. It’s more suited to the snow, which can be hard to trudge through. Of course, because they lived in such drastically different environments I would assume those who lived in these peaks had different needs and ways to accommodate themselves. >]
Anyu was curious when she heard her fast friend was into geology. This was certainly the perfect partner for such an expedition, as this city was a gem in its own way. They were headed for a place so secluded and wealthy from inside the heart of the mountain that there was a possibility of finding even the rarest of gemstones. Should they take a detour to take some sample, Anyu would be happy to assist.
[< Have you managed to find any particularly interesting samples? I’m sure there are endless possibilities with rocks, gems and stones of course. >] Anyu felt she had possibly let herself get carried away, and wished for her companion to have the chance to speak about her passions as well.

Myfanwy’s eyes grew large and her tail wagged from side to side. She was quite pleased to have found a friend in Anyu, who shared her enthusiasm in discovery. Myfanwy knew that they would make quite a pair.
<I would like to see this book! Despite ascending the mountain multiple times and earning my white cloak, I do not know how to read the old language. And while I do enjoy some archeology, categorizing rocks is actually what I do. I’m sure the paintings are helpful, though!> The white cloak cocked her head to the side and mused, <You say that there may be people? Hm! I wonder if it’s possible a civilization has lasted this long… I’m sure we’ll find out.>
When Anyu began to talk about how she walked in the air, Myfanwy let out an audible “oooh”. She had never seen someone move as her companion described.
<How does the walking work? Is it powered by something like my flight is powered by my scarf?> Myfanwy asked curiously. <And this cloak of yours came from a tower in the mountains? The people who used to live there must have been fascinating to be so different from the desert dwellers.>
Rp with Wayworn-Geologist
Delighted by the questions Myfanwy had, and her seemingly equal excitement, Anyu began to walk with a skip in her step. It seemed their excitement was contagious, which would lead into and endless loop of passion for discovery.
[< I happened upon this map in an old library in a ruined city that I take residency in. It was stuck between the pages of a book on folklore, and I thought it was quite the lucky find. I couldn’t help but look up the name of the city in the bookshelves to see if there was anything left about it. There were still quite a number of books about the place, and some books say this place is a myth, and if it is so untouched I really hope I’ll be able to find people as well. I brought a book along if you’d like to take a look once we’re out of the wind and snow. Although, it’s written in the language of our ancestors, so if you cannot read it there are some beautiful oil paintings to accompany the text. >] Anyu’s mouth went off on it’s own again, but it passed the time for the two of them to chat so cheerfully. She had never happened across such a talkative wayfarer like herself, and found herself growing very fond of Myfanwy and her shared love of an expedition.
It was good to hear that they would soon be inside the caves, for that’s when the real search for adventure started. Walking in the wind and cold did not bother Anyu too much, she was much too comfortable in it at this point.
[< Ah, I would love to fly with you, except there would be a small problem. My robes were fashioned for the mountains, so the ability granted is somewhat different to suit the needs based off of the terrain. I can’t fly, but I can walk in the air as if it were solid footing, and it’s quite handy when you need to walk across thing ice or deep snowbanks. >] Anyu explained to the wayfarer a bit shyly. She didn’t want to let them down or smother the hype of finding this place with this fact. It was already a great advantage to have met such a friendly and willing white cloak in the first place. She thought she should at least elaborate a little bit more. [< I came to live in the mountains quite some time ago, and my old robes were quite ripped and torn so I took these ones to replace them and found that they were much different from the ones worn by desert dwellers. I believe the ones who previously lived in the tower which I now call home were knowledge seekers and preservers of some kind. Many rooms are locked and the one’s that aren’t all hold some form of literature as well as various other items of interest. >]
