I really hope that Will doesn’t have big powers like El (other than feeling Vecna which could already be considered as a pretty important power) for many reasons
1- Firstly, for Will himself, we know because of the van scene that Will kind of hate himself because he’s "so different from other people" like he said. And I don’t think him having powers, that would make him even more different form everybody, from his friends (except El for obvious reasons). That would just make him hate himself even more and that’s not what we need for our boy, he already has so many trauma he doesn’t need to feels even more different.
2- Two, for byler or to be exact, for Mike. One of the many reasons of why mlvn is not a healthy relationship is because Mike looks like he thinks El is superior to him because of her powers (my opinion btw), he calls her a superhero and everything. So if Will has powers, Will the boy he knew all his life, I don’t think it would do them any good.
So here you have it, that my opinion but if you’d like to add things or just explain why you think that no him having powers is a good thing feel free to comment on it ! I’m open to any opinion :)

If the show is truly for the freaks as they say then Will and Mike will have their love story otherwise you can just toss the whole show because that's just a lot of talk with no substance if you only give the bare minimum of being accepted to him - plus boring as fuck because we all already know every single one of the people that love Will are going to accept him so that's just completely pointless as a story - byler is the only story that makes full sense, is surprising and heartwarming
