You're really passionate and follow your faith so strong, it's inspiring even though i'm not so religious.Would you give up alot for your faith or maybe it dosen't feel like giving up since it's what you believe? And do you know why music and instruments are now allowed? even if it's a uplifting song that makes you feel so good in your spirit. Wouldn't it be possible to compromise with faith? Don't know why this subject makes me think alot. Stay strong :)

thank you, i appreciate it. i do feel that i’ve sacrificed (unimportant) stuff for my faith, but i know that it’s for the better. you won’t understand until you’ve been put in that situation that you feel that you can sacrifice anything and everything for Allah. i honestly just feel cleansed after i’ve stopped listening to music, my mind doesn’t feel that need to constantly listen to music (like it was before), i don’t have to spend hours looking for ~new chill~ music to listen to, now i’m content for hours just hearing the sound of the birds and the wind, as silly as it sounds lol, the sound of nature from Allah in a heartbeat over music.anyways, i guess you mean not* allowed, right? sure songs can be uplifting, but it feels artificial. i don’t know how to explain it, but that high you get from music only last for a while, then you get hungry for more and it’s a never ending evil circle. idk if you’re muslim, but if you look up why music and instruments are haram, then you’ll know why. i feel that so many people close their eyes for this, they refuse to accept that music is not permissible, lol.

i’ve heard so many stories about muslims dying on their death bed, they can’t even say their shahada. instead they sing, or demand their family to put on music, and that’s the last thing they do before they die.. subhan’Allah.. not too long ago i read about a girl that died and she couldn’t say her shahada and she could see her place in jahannam.. her family later said that she struggled with her salah and music.. like, subhan’Allah, people think music is such a small matter, but i think it’s bigger than we think, you know? people will constantly try to find things that points that music is permissible and try EVERYTHING in their power to find stuff that makes music okay, like lol.. just stop and think for a moment, isn’t it scary how much people care about music? it’s honestly scary in my opinion. and that it’s so hard for people to give up, even if it’s clearly not permissible, it’s such a scary addiction.

i rather listen to quran instead of filling my head with unimportant junk, music in this case.. i just watched a lecture by nouman ali khan, and he said this “the young generation has to realize the power it possesses, and the young generation also has to realize the danger it’s in. because we’re living in times where entertainment is so widely accessible, and so infinite - there is no end. our lifetime will end, and the movies will not. which means we can spend our entire lives wasted away in this.”, although he talked about movies and video games, music has a big role in the entertainment industry as well.

and no, i would never compromise my faith for worldly, temporary stuff. i already spend so much time on tumblr, which one day insha’Allah i’ll be able to leave social medias once and for all, but it scares me that people even ask if you would compromise your faith for this temporary world…this subject makes me think a lot too, although i’m not very good to talk about it. you too, anon.
