i really like the idea of them being very smol but also the idea of them being very like, lithe and lanky works well for the spider aspect

in the end i made nyx just slightly taller than nat, because nat being the shortest just felt really funny to me

Rimworld is a really good time killer, but it and its later dlcs always have a problem where you get to the later half of the game and you kinda just start stagnating. Enemies get obnoxiously numerous, events will pop up capable of make or breaking you, and alot of stupid shit will happen as your colonists ai gets more demanding. Not to mention that its really easy to brick any continued progress if you dont core research done that allows you to get more components before you exhaust the surrounding areas deposits.

There are some attempts to get you out of your homebase with things like quests, interacting with factions, and raiding harvesting spots, but that requires manpower which is already needed at the base. So you need more people, who need more space, who need more resources, and therefore require more people to get said resources. The tedium really starts to outweigh the new interesting stuff.

Anomaly dlc is extra bad about that cause now you need to allocate a huge chunk to managing shit. Capture and research, perform rituals, react to new monsters. Its alot, and the rewards are very nonexistant, just some niche rituals and a couple niche weapons.

The game demands alot from you while rewarding very little, makes it very hard to ever finish a run proper.
