— (❀) — She despised the clarity of his voice, the way his words were laced with sincerity as always. Slowly, feelings of guilt were starting to creeping into her skin and she couldn’t handle seeing the boy look so weak and defeated. It’s not like him at all. What happened to the strong gentle boy she looked up to years ago — or maybe she really hurt him that bad? Maybe he did change after for so long — same goes on how he sees her — and vice versa? The thoughts kept swirling around, causing her hidden emotions to overload and she couldn’t take it anymore.

— (❀) — Mizki not knew very well how to respond in this kind of situation, these two rarely had a serious argument at all. The whole time, she still kept her vacant expression on her face. Her emotions were masked as always. Her small face gave no sign of what she was thinking, feeling, if she felt anything at all. Honestly, she’s hurt inside and wanted everything to be back to normal. Hearing the boy’s apology made her feel worse and couldn’t help but to grip the edge of her window tighter. ‘I don’t understand. Why are you apologizing? You didn’t do anything wrong. It’s my fault, isn’t it?’ that was what she wanted to say, but instead “Don’t — get angry… I’m — apologize…” came out of her lips. Her voice was trembling. She was never good at apologies from the start, especially if it is directly for him.

— (❀) — “I am…still unsure about — who I like…maybe — I might have miscalculated…” She admitted as her heart ached, the girl really couldn’t take a second of this conversation. It’s making her feel uncomfortable. The thought of losing him and being away with him once again was close to being unbearable to the girl. They’ve always been together for so long and she felt safe only when he is around. “Don’t — leave me…” she whispered “…I was — scared…when I made…Roo angry…I was scared — losing Roo.” She softly confessed, as she looked down to the boy before her. “Roo…is really important…Only Roo — can make me…feel so…overjoyed and happy…you’re — the main reason why..I returned.” The girl hesitated, taking a calming breath before continuing to say the words she’s been keeping for so long. “I need Roro…I’d always — do anything to make Roro happy…and see him smile again…like before…so, don’t — leave me..” For once, she felt so helpless.

— (❀) — Another bolt of lighting tore through the dark cloudy sky and it started to pour down heavily and, and it is starting to bother the young girl. Without waiting for his response, Mizki closed her window and grabbed her towel hanging limply on a rank, before dashing to the front door, hoping the boy would still be present. Mizki slowly opened her front door and peeked her head out. “I always knew you’re an idiot ever since we were kids…but…don’t..stand in the rain…like that…don’t…want to get sick now.” She repeated his words when they first encountered at school the other day. It was raining that time as well, right? Mizki handed out a towel for him to dry off. It would be unfortunate if he gets ill cause of all of this. Mother and Father would be upset. “…Do you — wish to discuss this — inside…or do you…wish to go now…?”

Abandonment

Rattled emotions attempted to stay true under the pressure, the uneasiness being fed into him due to the situation. While certainly bold enough to say anything that came to his mind without fear of the other’s thoughts, just what exactly he was feeling still remained a mystery. Yes, the gapping possibility that the pinkette held some sort of affectionate connection to the girl was staggering and most obvious given their bond, but it wasn’t entirely that. There was more, it couldn’t be that simple.

Finally furthering out of his thoughts to communicate, he didn’t bother to acknowledge the statements presented before. It was just words she was trying to use to protect herself, part of the cold aura put up in defense to anything else that could be uttered. Her heart had been aching, at his own hands. How did the male know this? Because, no one understood the women like him.

Matching her intense gaze showing no weakness, he monochromatic eyes moved not an inch to keep with the stare down. “It’s not as if you won’t pass regardless.” Exhaling a bit of air, hands settled in their pockets. “Look, I didn’t come to argue. We need to talk.”

As the last few words drifted from his lips, a rumble could be heard in the background as it seemed a storm of sorts was starting to settle in. Detecting the elements would soon be against him he took some initiative.

“You mean a lot to me, Mizki. I hope you know that.” A pause of hesitation struck, as bright hues blinked thinking the next words. “I.. I’m sorry, alright? It was stupid, I was stupid. Altogether the whole thing was stupid. I just.. didn’t want to lose to another person was all. And if you wanted to be with someone else then you just.. didn’t need me. So I left, and let you be. And when you came to speak to me again I didn’t want you to. I wanted you to be happy, since you were already adamant on who you liked.. well I don’t need to repeat myself.” Words were stagnant, confessing his full thoughts. Eyes finally weakened, drifting away. “But.. yeah, sorry.”
