Two days ago in deep cove ☺️
This winter has been very slight so far. I noticed in north Vancouver is very humid so I haven’t been suffering a lot of the cold. But I’ve been sweating and it’s disgusting 😣
I’m still hoping for some snow though 😢

Deleting old pictures I found this from the day I was leaving Mexico. I said bye to my family and to everything. I was crying a lot. It was very hard.
It’s a very personal picture but I can’t believe everything I’ve been going through.
I’m having the best time of my life and I will never regret leaving everything aside. Sometimes I feel very homesick, but I would never change the decision I made.

📍Toronto
It was a short trip. Toronto is a pretty big city. (Maybe too big for me, cause I come from a huge city) and now I’m looking to live in a small cozy city like Vancouver 🥰
The vibes are nice and I felt like I could do whatever I want lol! I’ll tell the story in another post.
At night walking in downtown I didn’t feel very safe tbh! And my feeling is that ppl is a little bit grumpy 😅🙈
But I really enjoyed the time there:)
Can’t wait to come back sometime.

When I was there I was just thinking of you and how I could have been spending that day with you.
It’s a secret place I found with my friend when we traveled to the island.

Im enjoying some days off before I start my new job.
I must say I’m a very big bubble tea fan!
Today I went to gong cha to spend some time with myself. The day was very pretty and sunny; if you live in Vancouver you know what I mean, we appreciate having days like today because it’s always R A I N C O U V E R
I love that here we have maaaaany options of bubble tea. I’ll share with you some of my favourites.
1. Xing fu tang: this place has more selective and special drinks. Definitely my number one. Not without mentioning the bubbles are handmade there, it makes it even more tasty
2. Coco: infinite options of flavors and combinations. Yakult is one of my favourites
3. Gong Cha
4. I don’t remember the name but outside Joyce station there’s a very good one 😂

Hello everyone!
I’m Vanessa from Mexico City and I’m 26.
Since I was around 12 years old, I always knew that I wanted to leave my home country for many reasons. I always had this dream of living somewhere else and get out of my comfort zone. I thought of this idea of meeting people from different places and cultures, to experience the life outside of the country I grew up and what I was used to. I never knew where I wanted to live or where to started, the only country so far I knew probably that I wanted to give it a try, was the States, because back in time those days… who didn’t want the American dream?
That’s what I saw on the tv, what my family talked about, etc. That’s why I never probably thought about other country (?) and I never really travelled abroad
I heard about Canada but what I knew about this country was almost nothing. Never did a big research about it. My parent's friends are living in Toronto and that was the only thing I knew so far about it, besides they talked to us of how great was the life there.
Thanks to a very close person who was in my life before, I discovered this beautiful country. (Thanks wherever you are)
Around two years and a half ago I went to Vancouver with my sister, just for vacation. I’m not gonna lie, since I first saw this city I completely fell in love. Everything to me was so different from what I was used to in my city.
The people, the public transport, everything so… GREEN! The life and the quality, the places, the ocean, omg everything in ONE. And the perfect small city. When I left Vancouver I was very very sad. I went back to Mexico the next day I went to the office which it was my job; I found myself in a very depressing mood, I don’t want this life, I don’t want this job, I don’t want to be here anymore. I promised myself I’m gonna go back to Vancouver and I’m gonna live there.
Guess what? Two years-ish later, here I’m! I’m nuts!
Don’t forget to chase your dreams whatever it is. And I hope you follow me through my Canadian experience in this amazing city and country. Stay tuned!! xxx
