like flies know what a human is. they know they are very small and other animals are very large. they've lived around megafauna as long as there have been flies. having animals the size of mountains to them is just normal.

I find it kinda fascinating that in ocarina of time link is still kinda just a kid. Like he's given the power to travel between time to the future that's ruined five years ahead or the past, his present day. But like. He starts as a kid. And is taken into the future, into an adult body, he has no history in between, no experience, he's effectively still that same little hero kid inside. Which is kinda fucked up with how he has to do this save Hyrule and how in a way this is the ways that the expectations of others lead him to. Iunno maybe late night thoughts won't hold up on further inspection but i thought it was neat and I thought up angst about it so yay
