the sad thing about wanting to have your builds be fully walkable is that you sometimes have to build paths that will never be seen more than twice after its done.

Theres a really fancy triangular staircase that i have spent and will spend hours on behind this wall of bookshelves. Its super detailed but like i cant even see it unless i specifically walk through this path... which will never happen?? i can fucking fly?

Id make a video showing the walk from bottom to top but thatd be minutes long and who feels like watching minutes of just a silly deepslate and dark oak library

Library progress update

Big ahh wall, the most tedious staircases ive ever built, and a whole lot more bookshelves.

next up is making this wall not look awfully flat. Theres gonna be balconies with more bookshelves and lounge areas :3

i also decided the pillar that the tree is on doesnt need a big interior, so i just made a cozy little tunnel with some lecterns for significant books from my world :3

Quick library progress update

Funny bookcases are all the way around now, finishing up the middle part next :3 (as you can see, a quarter is done, and the schematic for the other 3 quarters is already in place)

also the mural in the back is supposed to represent the cave i built and the mountains that will be on top of it :3

Library update!!!!!

Progress is not necessarily a lot, but theres some notable things here.

The library finally has books!!!!!!! and it finally has a connected path between the bottom entrance and the middle entrance :3c

If the bookshelves look odd to you its because i retextured them to look more like dark oak.

The vibe is a lot worse with the normal textures xd

Minecraft Mod idea because GOD I’ve had this idea since forever and I needed to put it on paper.

I have always been a sucker for ambience in Minecraft, but almost every weather mod I find is more focused on the survival aspect of it so, for the longest time I’ve thought about what a more ambient form of weather mod would be like.

I would absolutely love to make this into an actual mod myself, but my 0 experience in coding and modding is unfortunately hindering that idea. >_> Though if there’s anyone out there with modding experience that actually wants to help make this a thing, I’d be more than happy to help out in any way I can with it.

Finished the rest of Outer wall Layer 1, Layer 1 of Inner Pillar and a quarter of Inner Pillar Layer 2 :3. surely thats not confusing

need to get somewhere fast? don't have the time to fly around? just pop into actual fucking hell for a minute or two and you can visit your friend's house in the blink of an eye!

You know, an interesting tumblr transformation that's happened gradually, and which I've seen no one talk about: ask-culture has essentially dropped off to nothing.

By which I mean, asks used to be WAY more of the tumblr economy. They used to be more common to send, and receive, and see. They were integral to the collaborative, forum-like behavior of old tumblr communities, not even to speak on the HUGE number of ask-blogs that used to exist to only be interacted with in ask-form.

I'm not saying this in a vying-for-attention way but instead in an observational way: I used to get way way more asks in like 2015, even with a fraction of my follower count. I wonder if it's due to the homogenization of social media sites? There's a lot more of this divide between "content creator" and "consumer" instead of just a bunch of peer blogs who would talk to each other. "Asks" aren't really a thing on twitter, are they? And as I understand it, the closest thing to an "ask" on instagram or tiktok would be a creator screenshotting some comment and responding to it in a new reel or video or whatever those content mediums are. Are asks just too tumblr-specific? Is that aspect of the site culture dying out as more and more people converge to using all their social media sites in the same way?

I made a new hole

Yesterday evening i decided i want my stronghold's library to be massive so i blew up another hole and am now building in it :3

surprisingly it only took me one short day to make this 80x80 hole down to bedrock, but the lack of liquids in this area made it a breeze (omg 1.21 reference)

Also the circles center is the intersection of the center of the stronghold and the center of my storage, and the path circle at the bottom is at my storage's height, so it will connect really neatly >:3

The plans for a Redstone Shop to get rid of all the Redstone I'm mining.
