How could such a big man hide? Who trully knew, but he had done so and the first thing he did was tackle hug his fiance, grinning. "I've missed you."
He had been away for some time, though he could not share where he had gone or the things he had done. When his master called on him, as rare as it was, it was not a call he could refuse. It was the price of his existence in the future, after all.
He had returned now, though, and how wonderful it was to be back in the arms of the man he loved. Somehow-- albeit unsurprisingly-- Lauriam knew just who would be on the other side when Brain knocked on the door of their shared apartment. He was met with a hug that would have sent them both tumbling backwards had the raven-haired male not been quick on his feet. He held his fiance tightly, face pressed into his shoulder as the faint smell of roses that meant he was home washed over him.

He knows. He doesn't believe in reincarnation, but if he did, he would know that he and Ephemer were an impossibility that would never work out in the end.
