I've also had an idea for a while now about a new thing to offer. there's several characters/aesthetics that I want to design for, but have never received requests for. I would love to make pre-made starter packs, where everything is fully made and designed already, and the only things customizable by the client would be quotes, the mun's name placed on the work, etc. very minor and mainly text based tweaks. the items are bought as is and are a one time sale, first come first served. for a discounted price than a regular starter pack, since it's not completely customizable. I think it could be fun for people who have always wanted to try out a character, but couldn't quite get the vision together to submit a full request. or someone starting a multi muse who needs help picking a new aesthetic. thoughts???

policy update: unfortunately, going forward, pro-accounts will be required to purchase large scale customized carrds. there have been several instances of longevity issues with accounts that I made for clients to work around free accounts. for the sake of making sure people can continue to use the work and not be locked out, a pro account will be required. so that I can transfer it directly to an account fully belonging to the client and not one made for them, minimizing risk. I apologize for any inconvenience going forward, and I will be looking into further ways to purchase smaller/less detailed carrds through carrd's template system!

hi! not dead!

life has been pretty awesome, I won't lie. I got a raise, I'm getting promoted again, I ran my first supervisor shift and it went really well, and I got the first ever employee of the month! I've also just been getting back into hobbies; I joined a regular DnD game, I've started playing M:TG, I got a new tattoo last month and have two scheduled this month! I'm genuinely very happy and doing good!

I do have intention to start commissions again! april and may are clusterfucks, cause of not only work, but life! (plans with friends, the tattoos, comic con, I'm having wisdom teeth surgery next month, etc!) my free time is limited, but I am determined! I already sent some messages out, and I plan to sit and go through all of my missed messages! I genuinely have no idea how to properly get back into working here after so long, on top of the fact my schedule is still so busy. but I'm gonna try my best! stepping away has been incredible for my mental health and I want to make sure I come back in a way that feels healthy and right for me!

hi ♡ this is my legally allotted not dead post! I'll be incredibly honest...life has been great. I'm now legally recognized as a full time employee at work, I qualified for insurance, I got promoted to trainer (I've already trained two people this week!), and I'm about to get a raise. I've joined two weekly DnD campaigns, I've been reading a lot more, I booked my first tattoo in four years for next month, I get to see my dad soon, among other great things that have happened or are going to happen within the next few weeks. I'm feeling so happy and healthy!

not to mention, starting in two weeks, I finally get two full consistent days off! (tl;dr one of my off days was going to nannying, so I only had one true day off a week if I was lucky, but that is not the case anymore!) I'll now never work more than 2-3 days at a time, on top of having the consistency of the same days off every week. going into march, I'm hoping to dedicate one day to commissions, possibly one day every other week depending on my mood. I've genuinely been very happy being offline, but I do miss making art and want to continue to do so for at least a little while longer! I don't plan to stop commissions just yet, but I'll definitely be slowing down.

the plan is, within the next week or two, to sit and catch up on all of the messages I've missed, go through the waitlist and message those who are still active/wanting work completed, and finish those first. once all of those are done, there will be no waitlist. I'll accept work on a very small, quick turn-around process schedule pending. I'll also be sitting and probably condensing my items menu to a smaller selection!

hey, this is a general "I'm not dead!" life is busy and everything's still a bit on hold, at least until early february. I'm currently staying with my grandma to take care of her while my mom is out of town, while still working full time. in february I intend to crack down and be here at least a few days a week. broken record as always, but I appreciate you guys bearing with me!

hey everyone ! this is a big update that I've been trying to properly put together for a minute. between the holidays, IRL work, general life management, etc - I simply have not been here. I've always been slow, but my presence here has basically been non-existent and I apologize for that.

TL;DR commissions will be closed and no new work will be accepted for at minimum two to three weeks, if not longer! I'm transitioning commissions to being a side-gig as opposed to my full time job, and it's been tougher than I expected. I appreciate everyone bearing with me! under the cut is a good old genuine word-vomit processing a lot of big feelings I've had the last month and a more in depth explanation of my current situation!

I appreciate everyone who has commissioned me over the years and that continues to do so! I'm excited to continue to create for you guys in the future, with a healthier work mindset and schedule! all is well, I'm happy and starting to do well, and happy holidays to everyone!

(this paragraph is solely me gushing about my job, I could do it for hours.) I really love my IRL job. (I've posted it before, but to those who hadn't seen, I work in a movie theater now!) this is genuinely something I can see becoming a full fledged career for me and I didn't expect that. I have so much fun, I leave work feeling fulfilled and appreciated, and I've become close with practically every member of our staff. my identity as a trans man is respected as well. I'm also already having more opportunities within the company being offered to me, and I want to put the proper energy into it.

that is why I've been taking time to rest when I can and not push myself to be here online if I'm not physically or mentally in the right mindset to create, or putting a time limit on myself to do so. my anxiety surrounding my finances is something I've struggled with for years. going into a paid, consistent position has been eye-opening and so healthy for me. I never thought I'd be able to accomplish that (I certainly wasn't fit to in the past) and I'm genuinely very proud of myself and happy.

I've revolved everything in life around commissions in previous years, and not always in the healthiest way. I've taken the last few weeks to re-evaluate my feelings and expectations that I and I alone put on myself to be here. my life has changed a lot this year. truly from the lowest of low, to a place that is happy and warm. it feels appropriate to be going into the new year with taking a new outlook on life and work in general.

while I won't be stopping commissions any time soon, as I said above, I've been struggling to break out of the mindset of this being my sole full time job that I rely on and transitioning it into more of a side job for me. so to start with making healthier strides here, I am not going to be accepting commissions at least for the next two to three weeks at minimum. I'm going to solely focus on the current list and get caught up when I'm free to, and re-evaluate how much of my time I can properly dedicate to commissions every week. I want to find a good balance of commissions, my career, and my home life - with, for the first time since I started, commissions taking the backseat.

thank you again to everyone who has been patient with me beyond reason, who has commissioned me, bought templates, etc ! y'all are the reason I've been able to get to this point in my life, and I will forever be unbelievably fucking grateful. and if you actually read all of this, thank you.
