When Lyra breaks in, the first thing they can notice is the smell. It reeked of the noticeable smell of death, along with the smell of rotting.

The living room near the front door was a brutal crime scene. A few bugs flew in the air and the walls were stained with blood splatter, the wood floor being soaked in crimson. The sound of tiny claws of the pets scampering around the house could be heard, and red prints could be seen leading to and from the body laying on the floor.

Synapse was laying on the ground, but his body was only recognizable by the blond hair and brown button up he always wore, his white vest being stained with blood. His eyes were missing as well as various chunks of his body, exposing his jaw and the bones in his left hand. Being left with no one to care for them, his pets had done what was necessary to survive it seemed. A normally brown ferret ran up to Lyra, running around the familiar persons feet in demand of attention. The animals face and belly were stained with red, the blood having long since dried and clumped parts of the fur together. The small animals had no idea how horrifying the scene was.

In Synapse’s right hand was a handgun with a silencer, as well as a rainbow sticker that was now dulled with dried blood.
