for anyone who was wondering where i’ve been. this is just me talking about my feelings and blah blah blah so feel free to ignore
srsly i’ve been a wreck for the past couple weeks.
i haven’t been doing schoolwork or working on the second part of my fic, it’s been really tough
getting out of bed is hard
hopefully i’ll get myself to a hospital soon but right now i have work and exams and essays and it’s all very very overwhelming
i hope to have p2 of my fic in tomorrow
i also developed a brand new hyperfixation so that’s cool
basically if you’re not into osomatsu-san i’m sorry

i really love our generation’s joke trend of like, very calm but incredibly inflated hyperbole. like nobody says “oh she’s pretty” anymore we say “i would willingly let her murder me” and everyone is just like “lol same”
i think “same” is also great and “me,” i love when somebody reblogs a picture of like, a lizard, and just says “me” and we all know exactly what they mean. the current online Humor Discourse is remarkable because we trade exclusively in metaphors and implications and nobody ever, ever says anything outright and yet EVERYBODY understands each other perfectly

So like… Am I the only one freaked out that both Stan can do a near-perfect imitation of each other’s voice ?
Like. Can you imagine ? Stan, all of a sudden switching to Ford’s to confuse the kids. Maybe using it as an advantage over the phone to make them believe Ford’s here so he can make him say whatever he wants.
Or having an argument with Ford, you know, those imature arguments where you (normally very badly) imitate the other’s voice to mock their words ? And they BOTH do it, and you don’t even know who’s talking anymore.
Stan talking with Ford’s voice for no reason. Just to tick him off when they’re on a cold war. So Ford responds to that by using Stan’s voice. That can last for days (usually until Ford’s throat start hurting too much)
Also, before NWHS. Each other talking to themselves on a fake conversation, by using the other’s voice (which might explain why both had a wrong picture of the other). Sometimes they'angry and resentful, sometimes they give it a happy ending. Sometimes they just replay actual memories. Those from those two fateful nights, or happier ones.
Ford talking in Stan’s voice to help him recover his memories more easily.
Ford talking in Stan’s voice, hoping to comfort the kids better after a rough day, or a nightmare.
Darn it wasn’t supposed to get angsty.

yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!
protag is a jewish man (played by a jewish actor) who is a clear feminist and also socked a homophobe in the nose that one time
4/7 main cast is poc
2/3 main female characters are latina, and their race is mentioned and acknowledged without ever becoming a joke or just used as a plot point
the man in the highest position of power of the main cast is a black gay man and the show actually talks about and highlights the discrimination he faces
shows many strong and healthy m/f friendships that never hint at one wanting to bang the other or any romantic/sexual subtext
the main antagonist, who is a white misogynistic male who makes racist and sexist comments in most episodes he’s in, is heavily villainized and nothing he says (or the equivalent from any other character on the show) is ever put in a good light
it’s just really feminist and really politically aware for a hugely popular comedy show
there’s probably more that i’m forgetting it’s really early here
