this is fucking stupid but this is now going to be my real last post

(( Ngl this blog is pretty much retired now too, but I thought I’d post this lil drawing bc I mean. I drew it, and it’s the jonathan from this blog, so. Yea ))

(( 99% sure this is gonna be my last post here, so, it’s been real fun! This blog has always been my favorite, and I really hope you all enjoyed the story of it as much as I did. Have a great day/night ))

For the mod: is there any tags to differenciate the roleplay parts from the story parts?

"Listen." The blond began, clasping one of Jojo's larger hands between his own. Jonathan's was cold to the touch, as expected for a vampire, contrasting with the warmth of Speedwagon's scarred hands. Robert noticed that, but didn't say a word about it; his mind was focused on a much more important subject at the time. "I don't care 'bout whatever some bloody idiots say! You are not a monster!" And never will be.

Jonathan hesitated for a moment when Robert held one of his hands in between his own. And- upon listening to Speedwagon’s statement, Jonathan found he was unable to even properly meet his gaze. Because to the vampire, it just couldn’t be believed. 

The label ‘monster’ was a word that had haunted Jonathan ever since he became a vampire. It hung heavily over him, and had been a constant source of pain for him. Sometimes others threw the insult at him, yes, and of course it hurt, but truth be told? For the most part, it was just JoJo throwing that word at himself. And for what he believed to be good reason.

 “It isn’t just what others say about me, Speedwagon. If it were that alone, I would not let their words hold such weight. But the truth is-- you and I both know all too well what this can do to a person.” Not only from the obvious example, Dio, but from the story the late Zeppeli had relayed to both of them. His father had lost all sense of humanity, gone to that primal hunger; to that stone mask. He indiscriminately attacked not only his crew, but his own son. Who’s to say something similar wouldn’t happen again? 

God, even now, as JoJo’s cold hand rested in Speedwagon’s, Jonathan could feel his pulse. The blood flowing through his veins. And as shameful as it was to admit, he hungered for it. 

He ended up pulling his hand away.

“I put your life, Erina’s life- anyone, in grave danger just by being around.” And while Jonathan had not actually harmed anyone as of yet, that didn’t mean the risk wasn’t still there. “My very survival is dependent on the blood of others...”

“If that isn’t a monster, then I don’t know what would be.”  

"You’re a monster- you're a monster from hell! You feed off others to survive- something- just- inhumane."

Perhaps one would expect Jonathan to be hurt by such hurtful jabs, ones that fed right into his own self-hatred. Perhaps one would expect him to break down, to cry, to have some big reaction.

But instead, all the vampire gave was a sigh, and the miserable utterance of,

 “there’s no need to restate what I already know.”

Because, the way JoJo saw it, it was all true. He was a monster. An inhuman demon. After all, what else could he be if his only way to survive was indeed feeding off of blood, one way or another? Something obviously so vital, that taking it more often than not meant taking a life? What else could he be when the sun, the gentle force that helped allow life itself to come into being, punished his very existence?

HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY VAMP BOI!! LEMME...LEMME GIVE YOU A HUG AS A GIFT AAAAAA-

“Hm?” Jonathan first muttered, not entirely sure what it was he just heard. After a moment however, he processed what was said, and the expression that showed up on Jonathan’s face was nothing short of frantic. 

“Ah wait! No it’s fine, really!! Please don’t-”

Too late, the anon was already hugging him, leaving JoJo to simply panic. He didn’t want to just force them off of him however, so... now he was just awkwardly standing there, uncomfortable, but not sure what to do about his current predicament either.  

"Mister Joestar...?" The blond asks, knocking softly on the wooden door before slowly pushing it open. "I... ah. I got somethin' for you." He says, presenting Jonathan with a book. It's a novel he saw in the book shop some time ago, one he thought Jojo might find interesting and that would give him something to do during the day hours. There's a small, pale blue colored bow, on it. It's a birthday present. "I know I'm a little late. I couldn't make it here sooner, but I want you t' know I never forgot 'bout the date!" Not at all, not even if he tried to. His reason for being late though? Speedwagon has been short on cash for some time now, barely making enough to buy some cheap food and, thus, hadn't been able to afford Jonathan's present without resorting to crime, until now. Deeply ashamed of showing himself around completely empty-handed that day, he opted for doing his best to get him the present and visit him as soon as he could. That shame is still visible on his face, this time, due to him being this late, as he says. "Happy belated birthday, sir!"

Jonathan was hesitant to open the door upon the door when he first heard knocking at the door. He always was, actually, and that was all due to his great fears that came with being a vampire. It made him overthink such simple things, yes, even just answering the door when someone knocked. Getting the door would mean standing extremely close to someone, if even just for a moment. And standing that close to someone was dangerous-- what if something overcame him, and he attacked? 

Fortunately, that ‘Mister Joestar,’ revealed the just who was at the door, and Jonathan felt much much more at ease, the irrational worries that plauged him just a few moments before fading away somewhat. It was Robert who ended up just opening the door himself, and before Jonathan could actually welcome him, the attention was directed towards the gift Jojo then recieved, the book.

Of course, Jonathan really didn’t care that Speedwagon had missed the actual date, even being unaware as to the reason why. Actually, that made a thought breifly cross the vampire’s mind: if he was immortal now, did his birthdays even have any signifigance anymore? Ah, no matter. What did matter was that his friend was here, and for that, Jonathan was glad.

“Please, don’t worry about having been late!” He wholeheartedly assured him. “Quite honestly, I don’t believe I even entirely noticed the date when it came.” And that wasn’t to downplay any of Speedwagon’s efforts at all! Just to basically further say that Jonathan really didn’t mind that Robert wasn’t able to come visit on his actual birthday. And besides, Jojo was well aware his new choice of residence was a bit... out of the way.

Aside from all that, a bright smile had spread across Jonathan’s face, something that was a much rarer occurance nowadays. 

“In any case, thank you for the gift, Speedwagon. Thank you very much. I truly do appreciate it.”

(( A   :   AFFECTION.   how does your muse show affection? J   :   JEALOUSY.   does your muse get jealous in a relationship?  M   :   MOONLIGHT.   what is your muse’s ideal date? where / who with / etc? ))

(( A-- As much as Jonathan would love to show some forms of physical affection, it’s pretty hard for him to do that now, as he deeply fears harming people. So for the most part, he’ll show affection though words! He might be a little more open to physical affection if the other person reassures him enough though ))

(( J-- Nah, not really. Not in a relationship context anyway, and especially not in the context of a romantic relationship. He would probably get jealous of Dio and all the attention he would get compared to him, but obviously that’s a completely different situation.))

(( M-- An ideal date for Jonathan would probably be any calm situation with just him and his partner. And that’s not actually just because of his fear of being around too many people, but rather becuase he just wants to enjoy their company! ))
