every time i start to feel cringe for being too deep in the hyperfixation i remember the intense depression i have waded through and have to remind myself that enjoyment is fleeting (so grab it with both hands), and life is for loving (so hold that love close), and if anyone thinks i’m cringe they must not be having a very good time (and i hope they can find a good time soon).

I’ve been doing more research into poker terminology for obvious reasons, and I’ve recently learned about this little token that indicates which player is the dealer for that round. They can come in various colors, but an image search revealed that gold is among the most common.

Ok, so it still fits into Husk’s aesthetic. But it gets better. There’s another name for a button, and that’s a buck…as in a male deer…as in THE MAN WHO OWNS HUSKS SOUL AND DICTATES HIS CLOTHING. How much do you wanna bet Alastor made him wear the button/buck from their poker game as yet another constant reminder that Husk is his? How deliciously fucked up is that detail if it’s true?}}

Could be just my delusions… most probably it is my delusions, but I couldn’t help but think about this. Buckle up, it’s story time and this is a long post. Part one.

In the story about the Snow Queen…

… there is a mirror located Hell that shows the worst in everyone who gazes upon it.

The demons were curios to know what would God see if they were too look into the mirror, so they carried it into the sky, only for it to slip their grasp far above the clouds and fall to the world. The mirror shattered into a million pieces.

Shards ended up in people’s hearts, minds, eyes, making them see the world differently, changing the perspective.

Some saw the worst in others, and some saw the worst in themselves.

The two young protagonists of the story were happy together as children, full of wonder, love, innocence and dreams in the beginning.

But once the mirror shattered, they grew apart…

Heartbroken and hurt by the world, seeing the worst, feeling the worst in people, Kai was taken by the Snow Queen.

Manipulated and influenced by her heartless guidance, he grew cold and distant, so much so that all he loved gave up on him, on looking for him. The Snow Queen made him and everyone around him believe he never cared. They even believed he was dead.

I sometimes rewatch this clip because it honestly makes me LOL in real life.

Someone probably already pointed it out, But I only just noticed how sad Cherri is looking, standing at a table by herself, while Angel and the others all sit together.

And how she instantly lights up when Angel approaches her.

It's such a real life small/big hurt to see you best friend change and grow: the fear of losing them/feeling left behind, while at the same time trying so hard to support them and be happy for them. Small details that make good storytelling ✨
