That seemed to give him pause, though it was hard to tell, given that his expression was hidden by that terrible mask. The light from the ceiling was trapped in the angles, illuminating his cheekbones, his nose, giving his 'face' the appearance of a skull. After a moment, he pulled back, thumb stained red, to examine the frightened girl.

"--no, I am not going to kill you." Perhaps it was the distortion caused by the vocoder, but the warrior sounded almost amused by the question. Temperamental as Vader could be, it was a rare thing, indeed, that he killed without reason, and slaying a wounded girl in cold blood -- one whom he had already taken time to help -- would have been illogical, even for a Sith Lord ruled mostly by emotion. He would not waste life -- take it, yes, when it was necessary, but never waste it.

There was nothing that he could do for her here, medically, save for putting pressure on the wound. He was not a talkative man, and so he knelt in silence for a good minute before speaking again. "Are you alone."

"Is— is it meant to be bleeding, that much?"

The black helmet tilts downwards, and two breathing cycles pass before a clipped answer is pushed out. “Yes.” He raises a thumb, pressing it against the wound; he is not gentle, nor will he ever be, but the pressure ought to help to stop the bleeding.

It is unwise to deny Lord Vader anything; his temper is not a thing to be trifled with, after all. As opposed to removing his hands, he tightens his hold on the clone’s biceps, holding him quite still.

”Free yourself, if you can manage it.” The vocoder saps his voice of a majority of its emotion, but the contempt that Vader feels is conveyed nevertheless, clinging to each syllable and refusing to be removed.

He wrenches his hands away, shocked. If she desires not to be touched, then he shall not lay a finger on her, even if he can feel the bile burning in the back of his throat, hot and awful.

She does not want him — why? Is he not good enough?
