A wave of grief coursed through my body like a dagger scraping its way across my throat. My eyes narrowed, my brow grimaced upwards as I let out a piercing wail that reverberated throughout my body before escaping my lips. It bounced through the air and echoed from wall to wall, travelling down the chasm."
