Unus Annus Collab Project Premiere Announcement

Hello everyone! One year ago today, we launched the UA Collab project with the goal of creating a collab video that would feature the works of many different artists, and one that would be a way to celebrate our memories of Unus Annus.

We are proud to announce that we now have a premiere date for that collab video….

The Unus Annus Collab Project will be premiering on our youtube channel on Saturday March 27th, at 7pm est.

For those of you new to hearing about this project, this collab video will feature the works of 365 artists, with a piece of fanart inspired by all 365 videos that were on the Unus Annus channel. The video will also feature music from various creators in the community as well!

A lot of effort has gone into making this project into a reality, and we extend our thanks to the participants of this collab, along with those in the UA community who have supported us and followed this project’s progress along the way. Thank you very much for all you guys have done, as we literally couldn’t have accomplished this without all your support. 

We can’t wait for you guys to see the final result, and we hope to see you at the premiere on the 27th! Signal boosts and spreading the word is greatly appreciated, and keep an eye out for other premiere “invites” from our participants as well! :)

Thumbnail contest winner!

Hello everyone! So we have looked over the submissions for the fanart contest, and we are ready to announce the winner!

The artist with the winning submission… is @purplealmonds ! Congratulations! The thumbnail art will be revealed to the public before the video premieres (which will hopefully be in March, as we are wrapping up the editing on the video now!). To everyone else who entered, thank you so much for your interest and for your hard work- we truly enjoyed seeing what everyone came up with for the contest, and also keep an eye out for an email if you entered because we plan to include you guys in the special thanks section of the video in order to give you guys a shoutout :) And finally, thanks again to everyone who helped spread the word about the contest, and have been supporting us and following this project up to now. UA Collab Thumbnail Contest!

Hello everyone! Progress is being made on editing together the collab video, which is estimated to be completed by Mid-March.  With that in mind, the mods have decided to have a contest to decide on a thumbnail that will be used for the collab video! This contest is open to everyone, whether you are in the project already or not. ~DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: Saturday, February 6th!~

After the contest has closed, the mod team of the collab will go through all submissions to choose the thumbnail that will be used for the collab video. The winner will be announced on Saturday, February 13th. If your submission is chosen to be the thumbnail, you will be credited in the video credits and video description for your work. Best of luck! Hey, I just signed on to be a backup artist. This project is estimated completion date is January 2021 and it's already December. Approximately when will the first backup requests start trickling in? If we're contacted close to the deadline, will we be given extensions so our submissions won't be rushed in quality?

Hello! Thank you for signing on as a backup artist! To answer your question, we’ve already begun contacting backup artists since mid-November when we opened up the backup artist applications. Whenever we have had an artist drop out from the collab so far, that’s when a moderator contacts the next person on the waitlist to see if they can fill up that spot, and if they can’t, then we move on to the next name on the waitlist.  If you are contacted for an available spot, don’t worry as you will have the same amount of time to complete your submission as other artists have had (3 weeks total) so you won’t be rushed! Even if we have backup artists called in later in the collab timeline, we will adjust the estimated completion date accordingly in order to give both our participants and editors ample time.

Thank you to all who applied, and an especially big thank you to those who spread the word about it and helped signal boost our posts whether or not they were a participant. You guys were a major factor in helping us gather the 365 artists needing to make this thing happen.

As some of you know we launched this collab in late March this year, and we’ve been filling up spots in the collab as vids came out each month. We just filled up our very last slot today.

We began progress planning and editing the collab video in late August, and right now we anticipate it’ll be done late January 2021, if there are no delays. We will be updating our social media with how the process is going every so often!

We are also planning to post a waitlist form soon in order to have backup artists on hand in case we have some spots open up, so if you didn’t get an application in on time or are or are interested in possibly being a backup artist, be on the lookout for that.

Again, thank you all. We hope that when this collab video is eventually released, it’ll help provide you guys some joy, and some fun memories.
