Instructions for UNT commencement ceremony
Guest parking and entry
Guests should enter campus via North Texas Boulevard off of I-35E and park in Lot 20, which is on the west side of the Coliseum.
Special Needs parking will be in Lot 27 off of Highland Street. Follow the signs to be directed to the first available parking space.
The drop-off point for guests with mobility limitations is located on the east side of the Coliseum and can be reached via Maple Street. Guests cannot access the drop-off location from Highland Street and must go around the block to Maple Street.
A limited number of special needs parking spaces are available along the east side of Lot 20 near the Murchison Performing Arts Center for guests attending ceremonies in the Murchison Performing Arts Center.
View the map and use the driving directions posted online to plan your route. Be aware that selecting "UNT Coliseum" as a destination in GPS wayfinding applications may direct you away from the correct parking area.
Be aware that North Texas Boulevard between Highland Street and the Gateway Center will be under construction and may be intermittently closed to vehicles during commencement events for pedestrians' safety. Maple Street can be used to access special needs parking and is a special-needs drop off area. Additional roads may be closed intermittently to alleviate heavy traffic flow around the Coliseum.
Guests should enter the Coliseum through gates A, B, D or G. Doors to the Coliseum will open one hour before the ceremony start time. Be aware of the Coliseum’s Clear Bag Policy. Bags larger than 5.5" x 8.5", noisemakers, signs or banners and balloons are not allowed in the Coliseum.
Doors to the Margot and Bill Winspear Performance Hall inside the Murchison Performing Arts Center will open one hour prior to the ceremony start time.
