The brigadier reassured quietly, scooting back in his seat and sliding the papers back to the master.
“It makes perfect sense. Ah. How do you plan on containing the doctor?”
When he asked that, he pulled a small notebook from his desk, and glanced up at the master.
“..do carry on, if you would.”
There are four knocks on the office door.
"Ah, I do hope I'm not interrupting anything, but I have a couple of things I'd like to discuss... ah... if that is... acceptable, anyway..."
The Brig opened the door, looking ready to turn whoever it was away before he saw exactly who It was
“Oh.” His nose scrunched up, and he hummed softly in thought.
“..You aren’t interrupting a thing, dear fellow. Come in.”

The brigadier picked up the papers, and his eyes scanned over them. Grunting in approval.
“Well, old friend, I must say these aren’t half bad!”
He glanced over at the master, and hummed in approval.
“I’ll get those papers of yours settled, you see. The doctor has a human identity of his own thanks to me so I’m sure I can get you and Miss Vera settled in.”
The Brigadier nodded. Fixing a framed photograph on his desk.
“I have children too. I assure you I understand how much you care for your own.”
He nodded once more.
“Right. Non-lethal bombs that look like real ones.”
There are four knocks on the office door.

The Brigadier managed a small awkward smile in return
This was the doctors friend er..lover…he wasn’t too sure anymore. And it was his duty to make the fellow as comfortable as possible. Even if he had just been causing problems for them weeks prior.
“He has not informed me of you leaving your home. Though..I am sorry to hear that. It’s tragic to lose one’s home place, so I’ve heard. Even if you truly want to.”
Alistair chuckled, cupping his mouth in thought. A time lord who could kill him in a minute, and he was nervous of him? He was sure this conversation would go the other way around.
“Of course the men’s bullets will be swapped out. I had that planned anyways! Wouldnt want men with guns near the doctor or Miss Vera.”
He hesitated.
“Or you.”
He raised a brow. And gestured towards the chair in front of his desk.
“Sit.”

He couldn’t remember me or Vera or Helena and he was just..walking the streets of France, going to work every single day. I followed him around. Tried to tell him we were married and he just..he didn’t believe me. I think it took about a year for him to get his memory back.
