18. Okina Matara
Ok so Okina is a character I like a lot. She's funny and she's silly and all that. I wanted to give her a mask and gloves to somehow represent her being multiple different figures smushed into one character plus her being a god of Noh theatre and such, but I think I just made her look more like Mikado Sannoji than anything.

20. Yuuma Toutetsu
Wow, up to 20 weeks already... I think this one's my favourite so far, I just love how the shading and colouring looks on this one. I didn't think it would turn out this good from my first W.I.P.s, but it did. Also Yuuma's great. You just can't get enough of oversized household items used as weapons.

it's kind of wild that Saki's introduction resulted in more history-oriented Touhou discussion than Megumu's and Tsukasa's (or even Momoyo's) did. I think this is the biggest sign that there's been a decline in this side of the fandom during the pandemic times - in Saki's case it was basically getting as much as possible out of scraps (Shotoku's horse is not exactly a vital legendary figure) but Megumu is based on an essentially Okina level figure in terms of historical impact, intricacy of the irl background, etc.
