⅋. you're out behind a cabin, needing a break from the constant arguing of the other counselors. it's this and that and that and this, nonstop and it's giving you a headache. you can still hear them arguing through the window, it's open and you wish that you had closed it. the only other counslers outside like you are three others, including @ghostviso.
a sigh. your hands find themselves braiding loose hair. it's a habit, one that keeps you 𝖘𝖆𝖓𝖊. your fingers cramp after the fifth time braiding the same strand ... ... ... ― ... you hear something 𝐁𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐃𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆, makes your skin crawl. a scream, one so piercing it shuts the other counselors up. you don't wanna b e l i e v e what you heard. it's quiet a moment later, so maybe it's a deer. you swallow thickly.
there's no way. it has to be a deer. you nod to yourself as you walk 'round to the front of the cabin as the other two counselors leave it. probably to check on 𝗐𝗁𝖺𝗍𝖾𝗏𝖾𝗋 it was that screamed. you're not stupid and you are NOT checking that out like them. you're not stupid. movies have taught you better than to look for a noise that shouldn't be there.
you resign yourself to the cabin. the kids are yet to come, everything needs to be in order but counselors are going missing quick and turning up dead. you shudder as you sit on the bottom bunk of a bed. no way. there's no way it's real. 𝚏𝚞𝚌𝚔 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝.
