There is a 1973 Graham Kennedy Show opening that is, imho, one of the funniest things I have ever seen on television and in the next few days I will upload because it is extremely dumb and I laughed until I cried and I understand how that man won 5 Logies
As, like, research for my current novel, I'm watching eps of The Graham Kennedy Show and it has Evie Pikler from the 1973 Australian production of Jesus Christ Superstar and like, obviously the show's writers, in order to make him seem like a Completely Heterosexual Man, wrote him a whole lot of flirtatious jokes with her and dude is so hilariously uncomfortable the whole time, like no wonder everyone in Australia clocked he was gay.
Shinjuku Boys (1995). Tatsu, a transgender man, jokes with his barber about his changing appearance, and his newly masculine features.
TRANSCRIPT:
BARBER: So you go regularly to the hospital for your hormone injection?
TATSU: [nods]
BARBER: Does it hurt?
TATSU: Not at all.
BARBER: You have more facial hair. It must be the hormones. You’ll get a moustache soon.
TATSU: I’ll look distinguished! They’ve made quite the difference. I never thought I’d change so much. Most customers say I’m like a man.
BARBER: Really?
TATSU: [laughing] They say, “You look like a man. You’re not cute.”
BARBER: [laughs]

Among those arrested in Atlanta today were Noelle McAfee, Chair of the Philosophy Department at Emory University. You can hear her ask the PhD student taking the video:
