“I’m glad you’re here.” For once, he’s not screaming everything he says. “Sometimes I get scared. People I know keep— dying.” He hated that word. What it meant. “My friends, my enemies, everyone eventually goes away. I’m happy to meet new people. It’s just— saying good bye hurts. Why does it hurt so much? You— can you make it stop? Please?”

【 💀 】— As soon as he heard the softness to Claptrap’s voice, he knew something was amiss. He’d been ingrained into this ones' software long enough to know when something was wrong… And something was wrong.

Death wasn’t something that bothered him. He didn’t have any friends to mourn, and he didn’t care for his enemies. Claptrap though… He was emotional. He was caring. He was scared.

And Shadowtrap didn’t exactly know what to do about it.

“ ...IT’S GOING TO HAPPEN. YOU WILL OUTLIVE THEM. ”

That probably wasn’t the best thing to say on the matter.

“SO WHAT YOU’RE SAYING IS— NO– BUT ALSO YES.” He certainly didn’t have the vocabulary of his counterpart– Shadowtrap was far more verbose. He was what Fragtrap had meant to be– instead of a chaotic disappointment.

But he deserved friends too. Even after all the weird stuff he did.

“I’M MARRIED!” Wait til he told all his friends! They’d no doubt want to shower him with praises and affection.

【 💀 】— “ NO. I SAID NO. ”

He seemed oddly hasty about that, blurting it out as soon as those words left Claptrap's speaker. His optic shifted, rather uneasy in appearance, which said a lot seeing as these units didn’t exactly... emote. “ DON’T TELL ANYONE OF THIS. IT WAS JUST A TECHNICALITY. ”
