The video shows how the pin moves.

This is my new idea which just using 2 gears and made them be closer to each other so the pin will be able to move. 

This is my first idea of my model, as you can see the path for the pin moving around the model. I put 3 gears and 1 belt to let the pin move. However this idea didn’t work because the motor was not that powerful and the rubber band was too tight so the pin wouldn’t be able to move.

In the picture you can see the top of the 3D printing part isn’t perfect. Turing was one of a successful person when he worked for the government. However, the government found out he is homosexuality and it was illegal to be homosexuality in England so his life had been destroy. In the design I want to show although he was very successful but his life still got destroyed which mean his life is not perfect. 

From the research, Turing had made an electromechanical machine to decode enigma machine. So I create a pen like gear to fit his lifestyle.

This pen is based on Alan Turing, which using the machinery style.

The pen based on Zaha Hadid. She liked using curve for her deign and that remind me Rococo design in 18th century. 

The research I found about Alan Turing. From the research I found he studied computer science also he made a machine which call the enigma. I tried to make the pen which look like machine.

The research I found about Zaha Hadid. People called her Queen of Curve so I made some pen with curves to fit the style. 

Those 3 pens are based on Alan Turning. I wanted to create a pen which using machinery style to fit Turing’s style.
