Hello! I am Tze Tong, a third-year International Relations student currently studying at the London School of Economics (LSE) who is expected to graduate in July 2021.
Other than Global Affairs, I have a great passion for graphic and UI/UX design, and this is a space where I am able to share my work and the designing i embark on when I'm not engaged with my academic work. Still, I love to incorporate my designs within my academic work occasionally as well, which you will be able to see in my portfolio.

high-fidelity wireframes for a UI/UX design internship i embarked on during my 2020 summer internship. my task was to redesign the media page of a ‘media analysis’ app that emphasises visual media. additionally, i was also tasked to create wireframes for a mobile version. these are the final concepts of the app, after an iterative process.
staying true to the previous colour scheme and original theme, i wanted to refresh the app’s UI/UX to be both more visually appealing and functional for the target users.

one of my first major design projects in 2015, where the assignment’s final deliverable was an A1 poster. this was a math project regarding an investigation of our choice, in which my group of three decided on dolphins’ porpoising habits, inspired by the sine curve.
while it was a group project, i was in-charge of the design elements and putting together the final. i wanted the poster to look fun and exciting, especially in presenting what some may deem as a technical subject.

i love music, and one of my favourite artists is owl city. using owl city as an inspiration, i wanted to create a magazine mockup to see how i might make one after my school year in 2017.
taking reference from literary magazines such as aftab magazine, I chose muted tones to contrast with the vibrancy of the photos, to increase legibility and ease of reading.

a travel brochure inspired my makoto shinkai’s film ‘your name’ as part of a school assignment in 2017 where students needed to create some form of alternate media inspired by a media form of their choice.
for this assignment, i decided to create a ‘mock’ travel brochure that promoted travel to the movie’s film locations. since the movie is animated, fans of the movie would likely want to visit the locations that inspired the movie for an immersive experience.
