it's very disheartening to see that Palestine or Gaza is no longer the highest trending tag on Tumblr so early on in Global Strike week, especially considering how many people have said they still need to work and buy food (100% valid, by the way). don't lose momentum. keep talking about what's happening. keep reblogging and sharing useful resources and information. we need the Palestinian people to know that we see what's happening to them, we care about what's happening to them and we stand with them. Percy Jackson and Tumblr Live are no where near as important as the genocide of Palestinian people.

Anyone who reblogs this post will have their user written on a poster saying "We Stand With Palestine" that I hope to put up somewhere in the village I live in, or the town that the village is next to.

Random fandom thought: Tim Drake & the Service Industry

Headcanon: Tim has taken on so many undercover jobs in the customer service industry for his various cases that he both has a great respect for those poor folks trapped in working those industries and a deep loathing for those corporate entities who take advantage of those people to increase their own profit margins.

He's worked as a retail clerk, in a grocery store, as a waiter (his enraged rant on comms about the "base wage" for waitstaff was EPIC), and as a customer service call center agent to name a few.

Picture Tim having to deal with his very first "Karen" either in a retail or restaurant setting. Then, a few weeks later, crossing paths with that same Karen at a corporate meeting or Wayne social function.

Of course they don't recognize him. But he remembers them.

I imagine after a bit, Bruce had to force Tim to take a break from those types of undercover gigs, or at least put several weeks/months between jobs. His level of "jaded as f*ck" is usually through the roof at the end of those missions, and Bruce really doesn't need Tim planning a vindictive hostile takedown of Wal-Mart/McDonald's/Netflix/Amazon/etc... every few weeks

... especially with how much Jason, Steph, and Duke egg Tim on when they catch him in these states.

Steph- (calls Jason) guess what guess what guess what!!!

Jason- What?

Steph- (gleeful) Tim just rage quit another customer service gig!

Jason- (matching Steph's glee, especially now that he can catch snippets of Tim's rant in the bg) SWEET! Who's he gonna go after this time!

Steph- (cackling) Uber!

Jason- (gasps) Oh dear Lord... Did something happen to his car!?

Steph- (squeaks) Yes!

Incidentally, Tim's favorite CS gig was at a small business coffee shop run by a Hispanic family. The grandmother who owned it was a sweet tiny old woman who tried constantly to set him up with her grandchildren and constantly tried to feed him because "Mijo! You're too skinny! Doesn't anyone feed you?"

He almost didn't want to quit that one. He still visits all the time and leaves huge tips.

Regardless, I think Tim would be the master of the Jekyll&Hyde customer service voice switch at the end of it all. He can switch from "Stepford wife cheer" to "the world and its dog is dead to me" on a dime to a disturbing degree.

Me: Mizu’s gender in Blue Eye Samurai is complex and ambiguous even to him/her/them and that’s part of the richness of the story, not a reason for the fandom to get upset at one another or especially at the show creators for saying they envisioned Mizu as a woman struggling to survive in a society hostile towards her racial background and women in general.
