CHARACTERS: Aera + TXT (specifically Yeonjun at one point)
WARNINGS: Self doubt/deprecation, overworking, anxiety, and I think that’s about it. Lmk if I missed anything!
SUMMARY: Aera’s struggles and thoughts during pre debut to early debut days. An insight into her mind and the things she pushed through and has had to overcome.
She knew it would be hard from the beginning. The only female member in a group of guys? There’s a pressure hanging over her from the very start. Work harder, prove you can keep up, don’t stumble even when you feel like falling. Aera was no stranger to pressure, she put enough of it on herself. The weight on her shoulders was immense but she refused to sink, no matter how heavy the anchor.

SUMMARY: Aera is a shirt thief, among other things (sharing is caring guys!)
Aera knows Soobin is staring at her, she knows exactly why as well. The black graphic t-shirt that’s just a little too big on her is a very good indicator. She chooses to ignore the slightly suspicious glare until finally, “is that my shirt?” Soobin asks.
“You mean our shirt?” She answers simply.
He just kind of squints at her for a moment, like he’s actually considering it. “Okay. Our shirt.” Aera smiles, just a little bit victorious, that is until he tacks on: “but I bought it though?”
She frowns (it’s more of a pout really). “But it looks so cute on me.” She starts doing little poses, as if to prove it, “see?”
It’s obvious he’s trying to keep a neutral face, but the tiniest hint of a smile cracks. “Okay, please stop doing that,” he says with a laugh. “You’re ridiculous.”
“But I’m also very cute and I think this shirt highlights that very well,” Aera says, a bright grin on her face.
Soobin shakes his head at her, a sort of fond exasperation on his face. “It's just a t-shirt, but it’s not a bad look for you, I guess.” He’s teasing just a little.
Aera starts posing again, this time, using the wall as her prop. “Glad you agree,” she says.
Soobin cringes very visibly, “I’m--I will let you have that shirt all to yourself right now, if you just please stop doing that.”
“I’m kind of offended at how horrified you seem right now,” cue the return of that all too infamous pout. “I accept your terms, I’d still prefer if we shared it though.”
“You seem very set on that,” he says.
“I am...So, our shirt?” Aera smiles at him, doing a small dance in place. “Please?”
“Alright, our shirt.” Soobin sighs, finally seeming to resign to the idea. “You’re such a brat.”
“I’m just one of many brats you were chosen to deal with, it’s your fate.” She beams at him, “but--you’re the best, so I guess that’s why it’s your curse.”
Soobin can’t help but smile at that.
