Laios would be hesitant because these don't *look* like real monsters. He's more into the creepy crawlies with feathers and scales, not cutesy looking things. But even still he'd fucking chow down on these things, no question. he ate a parasite from a giant squid, *and* he gets to become monster-like
Marcile would do her usual shpiell, whining about not wanting to eat the stuff, but upon eating a single bugsnak would go all in. She is undoubtedly an Instabug type girl
Chilichuck would likely be the only one 100% against stuff like this. Like come on, this stuff *reeks* of bad vibes, it's like an advanced mimic. Would drag Laios and Marcile away
Senshi is honestly a toss up for me. Because even he was hesitant about cooking the parasite, and learning that he can't cook creatures like this would set him off. Even still, monsters that *look* like food are interesting.
If they did come across Snaktooth/Bugsnax, it would likely be a Chilichuck and Senshi team-up episode to get them the fuck out of there. But Chili would likely have to convince him first
I've made some comparison between Bugsnax and Dungeon Meshi before, especially getting into spoiler territory with DM and how the dungeon functions compared to my own headcanons for how Snaktooth works but there is one thing I will say.
Bugsnax is about unhealthy coping mechanisms and how even people who love each other can be driven to do terrible things, hurting themselves and one another when they're in a dark and desperate place. Dungeon Meshi is about EATING.
