The DNS 2020 Team from DNS The Necessary Teacher Training College needed to change their plans for their first year of the education. Instead of the traditional International Year where a team go overland to Guinea Bissau in Western Africa in their own bus, they decided to stay at the Tvind campus in Denmark and take advantage of the situaiton that they, after all, could be together. In January 2021 they decided to explore the world of art in the service of pedagogy and positive change. They called it "Art for Change".
Creating a “social bubble” has been an important way of making life bearable for all of us at Tvind this year. In 2020, nature threw the corona challenge at us and all we could do was adapt, so we did.
One special activity that takes place at Tvind is Hot Air Ballooning.
The campus has hosted the national Danish championships in hot air ballooning several times and Hot Air Balloon Team Tvind were Danish champions in 2018.
The automation specialists at Orbital are working on a new electronic control system for the veteran wind turbine at Tvind. It is an interesting task because the pioneer wind turbine is composed of a number of re-used components and cutting- edge technology at the time, that is the mid-70′s.

The old technology is preserved and re-vamped with new hi-tech stuff.
