Unsent Post Breakup High School Letter
Did you know a smile means more to me than anything else?
Everyone around me keeps dying, my life feels voided to depression & misfortune. That was until you made me smile, & I realized how much better life could be.
I used to go day to day just passing off my emotions without really taking the time to stop & truthfully acknowledge them. The only time I ever felt something was helping a friend or family member.
Yet, with you I relish in the time we spent together. It’s different now that you’re so far away, but believe it or not I think about you quite often despite how busy I stay. I can even hear your voice sometimes when I’m doing something like you’re right there with me doing it too.
It may not seem like much, but little things like that brighten my day.
I’m sorry we’re so far away, that this distance stretched our love so far that it snapped. You’ll always have a place in my heart, that area of raw feelings that can’t be described, where words don’t exist.
Be safe, take care of yourself & don’t go overboard with work. You’ll be successful at whatever you do, that’s just who you are.
